Acebeam X70 - 40000 lm - 8*18650 - Active fan cooling

guys - acebeam showed a sample...

no final driver, not possible to measure anything ;)

needs about 2 more months...

it is smaller than the GT :D

Hmm, I just found this thread.

If anyone here is interested in learning about some other lights with active Cooling, I started a thread on a bunch of different models over here.

.

Price appeared on Acebeam’s site, $749.90.

Holy smokes! I would like to have one but at that price I am not even close to being in the market for one

Yeap… $749 retail.

+1000…

For that MSRP of 749 and so many competitors coming out biggest flashlights, it should be at least custom light and let user choose the tint.

Works out to around $1,150 CAD with customs duties and taxes in. A hefty price for a flashlight.

You are paying for that sustained high output. If 7k lumen continous is okay for your needs, buy the DX80.

If you need 20k continous, this is the only light on the market.

(I’m just guessing at 20k, it’s probably much more than that)

Until acebeam post specs, we really don't know what sustained output is. My guess is that it may not be that great otherwise they would have included more details on their website.

I think they were shooting for 40k lumen for 30 minutes. But like you said, we won’t know for sure until they release their specs.

I threw some math at it a while back and came to the conclusion that 40k for 30 min is in the realm of being possible.

If they can do those figures they will control the whole market where something like that is needed without carrying a massive battery pack along.

$749 retail, for real? :person_facepalming:

They are totally crazy!! :rage:

Seems like an flashlight from Apple …

There are other markets out there besides the flashlight enthusiast. A city may have no problem buying dozens for their search and rescue teams. Think about how many cities there are in the world that have the big budgets to buy them. We may see SWAT teams, private military units, fire departments, police departments, etc… all buying them.

There is already a lot of people buying the BLF GTvn with CFT-90 for $675 and that light is not as impressive as the X70.

If the light is reliable and performs adequately, then I can certainly understand the price. It will be a one of a kind light with no other light coming close to its performance. But not for me thank you.

The Astrolux MF05 should be competition for it, but it is a ways off.

well can u name a flashlight that can produce such lumens with or without active cooling ? olights x9 doesnt even come close at 25k or even imalent lol… i think the price is fair for what u get from acebeam like quality etc no ?

Yea I agree the price is fair for the heavy R&D they invested to produce such a one-of-a-kind light and the premium quality. For government/military use, the price is a steal. My City gov buys chairs for $1,400 each and 60” Toshiba 1080P for $60,000 each and the quality is mediocre. Lol.

up to 40000 lumens… ok. Sound great.

We really want to know the runtime on the 40000 lumen…

If the x70 can run 40000 lumen for 30 minutes, i will pay $1500.
