Acebeam X70 - 40000 lm - 8*18650 - Active fan cooling

well can u name a flashlight that can produce such lumens with or without active cooling ? olights x9 doesnt even come close at 25k or even imalent lol… i think the price is fair for what u get from acebeam like quality etc no ?

Yea I agree the price is fair for the heavy R&D they invested to produce such a one-of-a-kind light and the premium quality. For government/military use, the price is a steal. My City gov buys chairs for $1,400 each and 60” Toshiba 1080P for $60,000 each and the quality is mediocre. Lol.

up to 40000 lumens… ok. Sound great.

We really want to know the runtime on the 40000 lumen…

If the x70 can run 40000 lumen for 30 minutes, i will pay $1500.

So if it can only do 20000 lumen continuously, you’ll just get two

My new triple XHP70 —–2 in series and one alone—–2 buck drivers—long throw reflectors—-and 6 26650 high current (35 amp ) in series pushing 12 amps through each XHP 70 used pvc to build its unreal , crazy , big smile , really big smile ! “Trinity Saturn 5 ” looks like a saturn 5 upside down. Super cheap to build .

Here's a thread on how to post images on BLF:

If I’m paying $749 I would want 80 cri LEDs, a bigger battery pack (21700s) and 15000 lumens continuous output.

$750 bucks? No. After the x40 unbalanced cell charging fiasco mess i lost trust in Acebeam long ago. Wish an active fan or not, its unlikely this light can sustain 40K lumens for minute or less without thermal problems.

Hm why so negative? If the Olight x9 which claims to run 25k passive cooling at about 5m or so why i kinda doubt the x70 would run only a minute with active cooling the highest that would been kinda the most pointless light ever for such pricepoint imo… Since it has 3 fans it must be like 10-15m or so otherwise its a letdown sure…

Many of us had a lot of headaches with Acebeam (when they were known as Supbeam) of the X40 charging problems, which never got fixed, and i had to strip the charging circuit out of my X40 to make it stop draining the batteries before i gave it away, and a price of 750 + bucks is not going to cut it for this thing.

Thought that was the X60 Supbeam GB debacle? Still have mine…

……… Supbeam X60 Battery-carrier Improved

………….Yep X40 too… hmmm….

i remember both of those models were affected. The X40 i had ruined one of my cells by draining it to 1.4 volts after sitting just a month with that bad charging carrier.

Ok what. How did Acebeam not immediately refunded you the price of the battery pack and try to fix the issue as quickly as possible?

I would be heavily pissed if that happened to a light with a non replaceable battery pack, especially in Canada where 18650s are rare.

All they did was sent a replacement carrier for the light that was supposed to be fixed, with a weird ” 6.2 volt” USB power supply adapter. (which didn’t fix the problem, so i gutted the charging circuit & gave the light away.

Wait, they put a series switching parallel BMS inside of the battery carrier? This what I’ve understood from the research I did.

That is a dangerous idea.

Yep, all the charging circuit was in the carrier itself, and it had some seriously bad parasitic drain and balance charging flaws they could not fix. Never bought another Acebeam since.

I love acebam brands… i got 14 of them, including x60, x65, t30… i dont like the battery pack on t30, and x65… battery pack are not modders friendly…

Acebeam should atleast offer without the battery pack.
