When I reply with a quote, the text of my reply ends up occupying the same grey background area as the quoted text, instead of the white background below the quote.
Ive tried different setttings under the "Text Format" dropdown without effect.
Im usually logged in on an iPad, if that makes a difference?

I do that. In fact, I always hit <return> (aka "enter") to place the cursor one line down from the [\quote] termination command before I begin typing my response text.
EDIT: And for whatever reason, it worked correctly this time. One thing I've maybe just noticed is, that if there's a live link or photo in the quoted content, that may be when my response appears within the grey background. I'll monitor that. It doesn't seem to be happening to other members quotes, though. Might still be an iPad thing?
It happens to me every once in a while, and I use either a laptop or desktop.
