I would like to know one thing before buying it.

Does it use a buck converter for charging or a linear regulator?

Because a linear regulator is much less efficient than a buck converter, and is detrimental, especially in a powerbank.

It doesn’t say anything on the XTAR site about including a wall plug, just a USB cable. Is there a specific reason it’s mentioned here or omitted on their site? There are no pictures anywhere on Banggood of a plug either unless i’m just missing something obvious.

Hi.
NO power plugs. I have 2 x VC2\VC4.
the Cable plugs give access to whatever power supply you using, in whatever country you r in. Through either Tablet, Phone. Laptop, Power bank. NO limit.

Definitely the best way to go. Wall plugs TOO restrictive.
