FW3A, a TLF/BLF EDC flashlight - SST-20 available, coupon codes public

But why ?

Not a good look, costly, and compromises everything the tube is supposed to do. Bizzare idea.

Reminds me a bit of the Thorens turntable I bought with money from my first real job. Replaced the original head with a light-weight version. And drilled a lot of vent-holes in it. All in the name of losing weight. The downside was that you needed to stay away when playing a record. Slip-stream, you know. The Thorens was not IP8, of course. But that did not matter, because it was not bought to be an EDC.

I agree it’s not that practical, but I think it just looks so good

Can Andúril do a battery check (and nothing else of the blinkies) in lock out mode?
Would that a good feature?

With the inner tube design. It would be possible to bore some holes in the outer tube.

Little to far out of the BOX for some around here. Maybe in another light. I like it.

Please put me in for 2 lights. Thanks.

Drifting away from Fritz’s concept, pure engineering.

Edit: already compromised with the addition of the taper at the front.

Whatever floats your boat.

Lockout mode does only the following:

  • Momentary moon. Emitter comes on at the lowest level (ramp floor) while button is held, but stays off otherwise. Useful for quick tasks without unlocking.
  • Unlock. Click 4 times to exit lockout mode.

On items with a lighted button, it can also do this:

  • 3 clicks: Change button brightness for lockout mode.
  • Click, click, hold: Change button brightness for regular “off” mode.

I still fire up my Garrard 401, SME 3009, Quad IIs and KEF transmission line monitors when I want to hear proper sound.

It’s all been downhill since

I like it. It matches the muzzle brake on my AR-15.

I’m in for one please.

Agree that it’s not for this light. I am also torn between the original concept and the prototype with taper at the front.
I would be happy with either design.

I’m not torn. I didn’t like the minimalist first design. I do like the new design with a more aesthetically pleasing taper at the front. It makes a night-and-day difference to me. Then again, I don’t matter. I’m not on the list anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:
