Wrist watches. Post pics, if you EDC one!

Thanks, ven!

I would like to pick up a white dial/black bezel one, too, but Orient prices have gone up significantly in recent years.

I have nearly bit a few times here in the UK in the last 12 months!

This time(no pun intended) i have decided to try out a g shock. Its been years……………decades!Maybe even late 80’s, you know calculator watch era lol. Hopefully i will add a few pics next week, fancy getting maybe 2 or 3 of them to swap about.

Well that seemed quick, G shock GDF100BB .

Not easy to get! had to be fast as back light only lasts a second!

So far i like it, I wanted was a digital watch to bring back some 80’s memories. Also a change from hands and to digital display as until now i had none!. Next is a mudmaster, only reason i got the BB first was simply due to being rare and all digital. Mudmasters are easier to find(well i have seen plenty so far anyway).

Watch this space! pun intended

Hopefully i can stop at just 2 :person_facepalming:

Edit- figured the back light, can change it from 1s to 3s………….job done!

… Tactico TC2 …

Nice one! :+1:

My new Vostok diver:

Ven! sorry for the delayed response!. I haven’t tried that, but I don’t think it would make a difference on a quartz watch. I could be wrong though.

No probs, sorry i presumed an auto and did not realise a quartz. Was thinking 5s is out of this world for an auto lol.

So true! I’d be happy with 5 seconds a day with an automatice watch! Some of mine are 30 seconds a day off!

Haha so true! Have you thought about a watch with satellite/sensor to keep perfect time.

Shown with optional charging unit.

Not really because I live on the east coast (Long Island, NY) where there’s a very weak signal. I have a satellite wall clock that almost always never connects. I think it might have connected twice in the 6 months I’ve owned it

Damn, oh well, at least you will look cool turning up late :sunglasses:

Sometimes the older ‘atomic clocks’ just quit working.
I’ve never known why.
But plenty of other atomic clocks in the same place, resync every night.
So, just because one clock quit, doesn’t mean the signal is weak or changed.

wle

Can anyone explain the different grading of replica watch?

I have seen grading of JF, N8, AAA, A, V9, V7 etc but don’t know what is the difference between them.

As I know there’s a difference between traditional radio controlled watches and satellite / GPS controlled ones like the Seiko Astron for example. You can sync your GPS controlled watch anywhere in the world while the syncing of the radio controlled ones are limited to the reach of the emitters.

Hi.
Tried cheap watches in younger days.
I spend too much time IN water and rough on construction sites.

This watch Citizen Solar screen, Rolex basic copy. 15\16 yrs. never touched it. keeps perfect time according to my GPS. $470 Tax free in Germany. (Passing through, at jewellers)
Prev. A Seiko Went for 18 yrs. AUTOmatic. Adjusted around every 12 months by several seconds. Around $240. Then.
Shook it apart when working a big Jackhammer breaking some concrete for a coupla days. (Forgot about it)

Prev. An Omega Seamaster. Had from 18 yrs old, Bought in Germany while in Army, back in late ’50’s.
Would still have it but Wrist strap pin went while out night sailing and it didn’t float. Bummer.
Personally. I reckon a decent watch. Bought once. works well. Gives no problems, and Usually. Lasts forever.

3 in 50odd yrs. Used daily. Never a problem (usage wise)
is great value for money.

I have an Omega “dress Watch” for around 45\46 yrs. That fine
for going out dressed up…
But normally I always use the 200mtr divers watches
They worth the extra.
Basically 77yrs old next month on 3 watches.
Ain’t too bad hey.

Beyond awesome, love it!

I love Nixie Tubes! I have a Nixie Tube Clock. I purchased this one back in 2003. Still works like a champ. The flickering isn’t visible to the naked eye.

Darn, I love that nixie wrist watch, too.
Must google if it’s real and how many wages it’s worth
