Ok, I think we just figured out the issue and the good news is it is semi-easily correctable.
The 4” only has an adapter that steps down to 2”, I need another adapter to step down to 1.5”. This adapter was the issue. After modifying it so it does not shroud the meter as much the readings are right in line with what I expected them to be at the start. I never would of guessed that little bit would make such a large difference.
So now to start building the 4” and hopefully finish those today and start shipping tomorrow.
I just dropped the prices on my website a ton.. you may want to look before they are gone. I will need all the extra space when the SC26 units arrive so basically I am selling at cost. Better hurry if there is one you want.
Those units are basically at dealer cost... I am sure TA would be happy to verify that a MT09R35 high with his new driver already installed selling at the price I have it set at is at almost zero profit...
I am almost finished with the spheres, finally, and will be catching up on flashlight mods as soon as that is finished.
I have several lights here and several more coming. If everyone that has a flashlight they want me to mod could get in contact with me so we can finalize the order details that would be great. I will be placing what could be my last LED order for awhile tomorrow so I need to get all the components ordered.
I will also be discounting any extra LED’s I have left over here so I am not stuck with a bunch of LED’s I can’t use. First I need to see what the orders are for so I see what is left over.
Just a quick update, my component order was delayed to today, by the time I could of ordered on Friday it would not of shipped until today anyways so decided to wait to give some people more time to figure out what LED’s they wanted.
I just placed the order and it should be here in a few days. I will most likely prepare the lights as much as possible to make they go quicker once I have the drivers.
Ok, the components showed up yesterday and I was able to get the drivers assembled by staying up past midnight.
Today I am starting work on the lights I have here. Hopefully I get them them modded today and shipped tomorrow. I have had some of these for awhile now and it is about time they get shipped.
The first one is for Keepitsharp.
He wanted to stick with the stock LED’s, TA driver, spring bypasses and tailcap washer.
I do not trust my sphere readings right now but for comparisons sake it is doing a bit under 19k lumens like this.
I have about 4 more mt09r’s on hand excluding mine that I still have not gotten around to, another few that should arrive any day and then a few other lights. I guess we will see who is next.
Also just so everyone knows, I will most likely not be making more drivers. I should have around 8-10 drivers left after I finish the lights I already have here or incoming. Once those are gone I will only make more if there is quite a bit of interest.

just curious TA, would this driver fit/work in a Supfire M6? ( I’m fearful you will say yes )

Hmm, it would fit in it but you would have to mod the battery tube to convert it into a carrier. It would also need some component changes to work with 1S.
I have a driver designed for the SRK / M6 already that drops in for 1S operation. I just don’t have any built.
Ok, another one down. This one is for ElectricJelly.
This is a Green one with 50% ramp TA driver, 4000k 80CRI, Spring bypasses, tailcap washer.
Final output is between 19k and 20k with the new system a tad below average but still pretty good. The tint looks ever so slightly different then the others (slightly cooler, I would say ~4300-4400k, pretty nice really).
I am wondering if this is a different reel. I am not sure what shipment these are from, I found a few packages I forgot I had with LED’s the other day when going through all my stuff.
Ok, this is the last MT09R I have here, this one is for Sohow.
It is a Silver MT09R XHP35 HI. He wanted the 4500k 80CRI (Man I love the tint on these), TA driver with 50% ramp and tailcap washer.
It is doing a bit over 6k lumens and like usual the tint is simply stunning.
Unfortunately my soldering station / hot air gun died right after finishing his reflow, I had to finish this light with my cheap soldering iron. So my modding abilities are seriously limited until I get a replacement.
I am thinking I will get another china combo unit unless someone knows of a better option? I am very open to suggestions.
I have the 852D right now, looks like the 862D is an updated version:
I still have a few L6’s and other lights here to do. I will give one of them a shot old school and see how it goes but most likely gonna have to wait till I get the right tools.
