I think a couple of people had this with the new black centering ring design they started using. Instead of centering the reflector to the led, it centers it to the mcpcb (the 2 screws holding it down). So if the led is not reflowed exactly into place on the mcpcb or if the black centering ring is rotated away from the screws, it can be off.
You would need to loose the upper head from the lower head and see what the issue is. The black centering ring might be turned slightly and not lined up with the screws. If it’s a case of the emitter reflowed off center, then the centering ring can be modified to fix it.
I opened up the GT today and got everything centered up, and the inside of the lens cleaned up. Only problem is it seems impossible to keep the dust out of the thing! Any tips on keeping the dust clear and touch free ways of cleaning the reflector? Possibly a rinse with 70% isopropyl alcohol and let it drip dry?

What caused the problem? We’re the holes over the screws too large or was it rotated away from the screws?
I would not touch the reflector. Just gently blow away any dust. If I can’t get it all, no big deal. I leave it there. It doesn’t bother me.

After some proplems with the local DHL i got mine yesterday!!!
In the night i compared the GT with my BK-FA30s Vostro and i’m very disappointed about the performance of the GT. She is equal to the Vostro but not brighter (in my eyes). I tested it with 4 Samsung 35E (from the Groupbuy).
Also i have the same brightness in Ramping and double click. Is this the normal way?
The GT and the Vostro should have about the same brightness. They are both pushing the xhp35-HI very hard. It can only get so bright. (I don’t know much about that Niwalker, but I’m assuming it is pushing it’s xhp35-HI very hard)
The difference is in the reflector size. The GT makes a smaller hot spot which makes it go a longer distance.
The difference in the GT between the top of the ramp 2A and turbo 2.5A is also not a lot. You get a few hundred more lumen since it is already close to maxed out. Your eyes won’t see much difference, but a lux meter does. Turbo also strains your batteries. 4 x 30Q only does 30 min before dropping out of regulation. At 2A, it will do 45-50 min.

hi, i ordered 05 of may. i just called DHL/netherlands. they couldnt find something. my question is does someone knows if the parcells are on there ways or stil @lumintop ?
They should be shipped this week, see the message from Texas_Ace on saterday 12th of may.

Just got a response. All of the shipments were delayed as they ran out of 35E cells and Neal decided to wait to travel to Lumintop until next week to help with the packing (it is a long trip).
The cells are supposed to show up on Monday, so they will ship them out next week. This goes for all the orders, lost and new orders.

I don’t know anything about the customs fees or tax for the Netherlands. Maybe someone from there who has already received their light can give us more details about whether they had to pay a tax.

Mine came with registered shipping, not DHL, and just slipped through. If they catch it, tax is 21% of the purchase price, plus whatever the shipping company adds as handling costs, in case of DHL in one case that was 18 euro.

In this particular light, if you use high quality protected cells like the 10A ones from IMRbattery, then the only real downside will be cost.
Cheap protected cells can suffer other issues like high resistance but that is the cheap protection circuits.

He has not responded to me in a day or 2, that is usually a sign that he is at lumintop or at least away from home. His VPN and thus internet access is seriously limited when it is not at home.
Does this look like a copy to you guys? Or is Astrolux and Lumintop related?
