New Liitokala 5100mah 26650 on market.

Hey guys, don’t have much info on these new cells so I figured I would post what I know.

These are blue with a new label.

The interesting thing about them is some seem to have slightly raised ends and others don’t. This allows them to make contact in series without a magnet or solder blob needed.

This fellow got two different versions. In his order.

Maybe Liitokala is transitioning to these raised ends? I like the idea. It doesn’t add much length at all, but allows for series use.

Right now I see them being sold at Liitokala’s store on Aliexpress. Reviews are good. Some folks measure capacity from 4800mAh to 5200mAH on various chargers. Who knows how accurate those chargers are.

Anyway, please feel free to post up here if you find out more info on them.

Any word on discharge currents? This would be equivalent to a 2440 mAh 18650 so I hope it is very high discharge.

It’s too new for anyone to test yet.

My guess it is the same basic cell as the previous blue and black which are great. They can do 20A continous. Maybe it will be tested fairly soon.

Liitokala rewraps different cells under their label even for the same model, so some might have raised top or not depending on manufacturer

Also, I think this is actually an older label, their current line I think is the black one with golden type. But who knows with them

I scanned a bunch of feedback reports on Aliexpress. The black label seems to show up in Nov 2017. This new blue label shows up in Dec 2017. So I don’t know! Lol

I’m a fan of Liitokala so it’s odd I have not seen these new blue ones until just recently.

Will they fit Utorch UT02, Convoy L6, Home Defiant 1000 lumen, Thrunite Cata V6, TC20, etc…. with ease? Not to tight or long? I might pick up a couple of these.

I haven’t bought any, but they say they measure 26.5mm.

My older blue and black Liitokala’s measure 26.7-26.8mm. They fit my L6, but keep in mind that there are 2 different L6 battery tubes. Mine is the bigger one and they fit loosely. I add paper to prevent rattles. They may be a snug fit in the other L6 tube.

So if these 5100mah are a tiny bit smaller, then they should fit the L6 just fine.

I don’t recall the UT02 having any type of smaller than normal battery tube.

I have no idea about the other lights you mentioned, but if they fit the older blue and black liitokala then these new versions will probably fit as well.

Length is never an issue with unprotected cells. It’s the diameter you have to be careful of.

It’s not small. Fits Shockli easily. Should fit this one as well.
