Haikelite SC26 *** CLOSED For U.S.A. and Canadian Customers only*** Haikelite cut me off at 100 units so GB is closed.

All of the deadlines have been missed,
This whole ordeal didn’t go as planned.
He said he has the sample. So he does have it. Why would he lie?
What my concern is, it’s not all that was promised, and people may dispute on PayPal, and he loses those sales, and puts him in a bad spot. I am surprised people have not cancelled order yet.

I don’t know why he would lie either, maybe a dog ate the sample? I think some people have cancelled their orders, and I for one am close to doing so. However, for thirty odd dollars, I’m willing to let it ride and hope that Terry pulls through since it seems like we are close to the finish line (we have all waited long and patiently). It could also be that others like me, are part of the MT09R GB. The MT0R GB worked out in the end, even though I ended up spending more money on the light than I planned (I purchased TA’s driver, since I didn’t know when HL was going to pull through with a revised driver and if the revised driver would work properly). But distinctly with the MT09R GB, Terry was a lot more responsive and the timeline was quicker than this GB.

Many people are probably on the verge, and if his review is less than perfect, people will bail, and that would put him in a bad spot.

what is Paypals policy on filing? Is it 180 days? This started in early Feb. I’m tired of this ignorance. If he had a sample like he said he did, why wouldn’t he have posted some info about it? Smacks of deceit. Refund.

He said he will have them in about 5 days.

Until next week, I would not be worried.

Terry probably has a lot on his hand already.

The problem is that Terry isn’t too busy to come on BLF to make comments when he wants to and post new specials that he has on lights. You can just go on his profile and track where he’s posted on BLF for the last 2 weeks. However, when it comes to this GB he’s too busy, even though he has our money and he is a merchant in this situation and not just a forum member.

Terry has used too many personal stories/reasons why he’s too busy to treat his customers right. According to him, he’s the busiest person on this earth, who never sleeps, does too much for the BLF community, works for pennies, who doesn’t get enough gratitude from BLF members/customers, is the most honest person around, and it seems in his spare time helps old ladies cross the street. So an all around good guy, who can’t give this GB the time that it deserves.

If he sold 100 lights at $32 for this GB, then he is holding on to $3,200 of our money. Now, Terry will probably say after everything he only pockets a penny per light on this transaction and yada yada yada. Regardless, he’s holding onto $3,200 of this GB’s money but he doesn’t think it’s worth his time to keep us in the loop. I think everyone will agree that is a big problem. We’re not asking for miracles here just some HONEST feedback. I’d rather Terry tell us that the lights won’t be shipped out until July or something farther out, then stringing us along bit by bit, telling us that the lights should have shipped or it will be shipping soon, when he clearly knows it’s not going to happen.

But I think even if he is stringing us along to resolve some issues that he doesn’t want us to find out about. There is a hard deadline here, when Paypal protection will run out and I’m pretty sure that a lot of people will start filing Paypal claims to protect their interests in this GB or demand refunds.

What is the last day pay pal runs out From start of this GB? If the lights are not shipped by then, I will need to bail, as bad, and unfair as it is.

He would have them in 5 days if he paid for express shipping.
He chose not to do express shipping due to cost.
Unless he gives you a tracking number, then you just have to trust him that it has shipped plus any delays.

Terry isn’t holding your money. He sent it to the factory to pay for the order. That is why he initially refused my refund request. He did end up refunding my money but he made a big production out how he had to refund me from personal money he earned working. If he does have a sample and it is not flawless, there would be real trouble. The PayPal refund period is 6 months from date of payment. If he refuses refunds and everyone who wishes to bow out escalates the case his account could easily be shut down. It does not excuse his lack of communication, but it might explain it.

You are probably correct. It does put him in a tough position… But if he just said it will be here in June, we would all be satisfied. It’s all these dates that fall through that seems to be the issue.

Maybe you will get lucky and he will give a definite deadline of December which will satisfy everyone.

The exact reason why I cancelled my order. Repeatedly missed dates and poor communication. Terry does not seem to understand his role as a dealer has different expectations from customers than a GB created by volunteering forum members.

Paypal’s policy here: How do I open a dispute with a seller? | United States

For those who don’t want to click on the link: “You have 180 days from the transaction date to initiate a case on a transaction.”

I don’t understand why Terry doesn’t post such important news here himself. I would think that Terry has enough sense to post that here IF he is suppose to get the light in about 5 days as he told BlueSword. Again, unless something fishy is going on then I can see why he wouldn’t want to post that on BLF.

Look above for the information about paypal protection. I don’t think it’s bad or unfair if you bail when paypal protection runs out based on how Terry has been treating his customers in this GB.

FlashKat, do you know for sure he did not go with express shipping? The only thing I remember Terry saying that shipping was via Fedex. I do agree that I can’t trust that the lights have been shipped already unless Terry provides us something concrete, like a tracking number.

Terry has voiced a lot of complaints about how this and the MT09R GB has been too much work with no gains for him and so he’s never going to do it again. What he doesn’t say is that, the GB provides him with a chance at marketing his new business and for US to front the money for the merchandise so that he doesn’t have to take money out of his pockets when ordering the lights. But as long as I’m concerned he has our money and is responsible for it, whether or not he’s spent it or not. This is not to say that Terry has the ability to pay everyone back in this GB or not.

I’m still willing to give him a chance since he has pulled through on the MT09R GB. But, I’m not going to wait so long that I lose paypal protection on this transaction. However, Cellguy you might be the wiser man having cancelled your order already.

The delay and lack of information makes one wonder if there is a similar issue with the driver of the SC26 as there was with the MT09R.

I’d like to know clearly if there is any clear information about the shipment and the single SC26 that he received.

Post 415 Terry said it would cost $300.00 for 5 day shipping, but chose not to pay due to cost.

Ok, so this is what we know then. Terry said he didn’t ship the lights express and he told BlueSwordM that he should have the lights in sometime next week say around Monday (5/21) or Tuesday (5/22). I’m assuming this, since BlueSwordM posted that Terry told him the lights should arrive in about 5 days on 5/16. Also, as Terry said that the lights had been shipped out as of 5/6 (it could’ve shipped out earlier but at least we have a “no later than date”.). So that’s about an estimated 2 weeks shipping time. Hopefully, Terry is telling it to us “straight” this time (actually Terry didn’t specifically tell us this but we are piecing it together from what we know). I used the word straight in quotations because I don’t want to use the word “truth” because we know how Terry gets when he’s called a liar.

I personally think that Terry is not in error here.

Haikelite seem to be in a bind these days. The MT09R regulated driver problems, incompatibility with NarsilM, and having to change the driver completely means something is wrong.

I think there might be a misunderstanding here. I don’t know about everybody else, but I’m not faulting Terry for the delays in shipping. I am faulting him for his nonresponsiveness and lack of transparency, which gives way to mistrust. Which is horrible for a vendor in these parts or anywhere else for that matter.

Oh I understand now.

I’ll just wait until Wednesday next week to kick up a fuss.

I certainly understand why you cancelled your order. I realize he is just starting his business, dealing with Chinese/overseas company (language, customs, and practices differences), and having issues with his supplier. I think personality issues have crept up as well. I haven’t seen any issues of fraud, but mistakes have been made. Kicking when down seems unfair, but bringing issues/concerns to light is clearly justified.

Group buys are tough. Rey is really good with them, other’s not so much, I do understand your valid position.

Yet, now with Texas_Ace involvement, what a wonderful serendipitous opportunity for BLF member’s. What a professional/gem TA has PROVED himself to be.

So, I will wait awhile and be hopeful.

And secretly waiting to see what TA can do with the SC26
