The XHP70.2 8,000 Lumen BLF-GT With Beam Shots!!!!!!!

very nice tutorial.

thanks man

I have the same build in my L6 as well. It is amazingly bright but the GT makes an awesome host for this combo. I think that’s the main reason I got the GT

Same… I want to do this too…

Awesome video and good discussion at the end. I hope we are able to get this mod soon. It will be really interesting how this compares to the much more expensive Luminous.
Do you have any guess what the Lumen output would be prior to the dedome but with the mosfet?

What’s the lumen output over time with the mosfet driver? Can the GT host handle the heat?

great video!

Will the LED run on full power with the short tube? BTW I love your videos!

This will definitely require VTC6’s or 30Q’s either way!

Thank you for another awesome video  This is exactly the mod I plan to do over the weekend, What width shim did you end up using for proper focus of the XHP-70.2, did you have to change it after dedome? I like the DIY tool you made for dedoming the LED without removing it :+1: What width is that metal guide you used for cutting the dome?

Can’t wait for my XHP-70.2 order from MTN to arrive today…!

Thanks
AlexGT

Very impressive results. I rounded all my prior numbers down as I was worried they might be unreasonably high. Good to see that someone else got even better numbers.

Also, some of the difference in the readings can be attributed to the tint. I as well as others have noted rather significant differences in readings when testing LED’s of the same bin but with different tints. Sometimes as much as 10-15%.

I just posted the drivers for sale here: Texas Avenger Driver for the XHP70.2 GT

The mcpcb’s are still unknown. I think lumintop will make them but no idea when.

Till then this sinkpad should be able to work with some sanding of the edges:

Although I would not use it with an 80cri LED, they pull too much current and I would worry about them overheating on the aluminum.

In for 4* xhp70.2 mcpcbs

I would be fine with that. I got an MF04 on preorder, that’s why I’m asking.

I’d definitely be in for an led and board (if sold together) would be even better if we could somehow order a ‘kit’ with the resistor, led and board…… wishful thinking maybe :stuck_out_tongue:
Either way 1 board please.

A kit is what I have had in mind from the start.

Nice one TA :+1: You da man! :sunglasses:
Oh and forgot to thank VOB for another great video! Cheers man!

If there’s ever a kit available I’m totally in for a set

With a bit careful centering and if you are willing to drill new holes it is possible to get also a 25mm LED board fitting in the GT like I did with a CFT-90

I also have made a new driver with lastest development in way more efficient P-Channel mosfets utilized

note for GT the center viases on spring pad taped with Kapton

Today I sliced sanded and polished 3 MCPCBs for GT and this emptied my stock on boards and LEDs for now

+1
I am in

The kit should include the MCPCB with the XHP70.2, driver and the centering plate.

PS. Another option, for those who have few skills, the complete light engine assembled.

there is no new centering plate needed

another great video!
thank you for making them
