I only have the L6, and the beam is pretty comparable (70.2 version). Output of the MT07S 70.2 is about 20% higher than the stock L6. The output of the L6 does reduce with depleting cells which is not the case with the Haikelite.
There is just very little info regarding the 35 version. I think the 35 is an interesting light. It’s not a dedicated thrower like the TN42 or the MF02 with a huge reflector. The MT07S is much more compact and although not too comfortable, it actually is pocketable. I call it a sub thrower.
So for its size you get quite some throw with ~200 kcd intensity. So the 35 is less bright compared to the 70, but you definitely have a tighter more intense hotspot, also relative to the L6 and Q8.
I see that even the 70.2 variant offers nice throw, 75-96 kcd depending who measured it. About twice that of Q8.
I spent too much on lights recently….but I’m in.
Did anybody do a resistor mod?
Been watching this deal since it was posted. Finally broke down and registered for it. For $46 I figure what the heck. Plus it will be my first HaikeLite.
I’m in for the ” HaikeLite MT07S HI Upgrade Version 3000Lumens CW/NW Long Range LED Flashlight 1200M - Black Cool white light ” version with the SMO reflector.
Which is the better thrower ? NW 4800K or CW 6500K ???
So if I understand what you are saying, the NW 4800K HaikeLite MT07S HI Upgrade Version 3000Lumens , is the longest thrower of the group. And will give the best color distinction on objects as well at 80CRI. I am still learning the basics. I will Google more……
