That is because I’m going with Lexel’s buck driver with NarsilM for this light.

Really, I think it would be best with 2s battery mod and TA.
But I’m not about to do it yet.

GT driver would be a major upgrade, but a major cost as well….so I’ll pass on it.

Or just keep the stock driver. The UI is quite nice, and using a 4S battery setup allows for constant 4500 lumens.

And besides, the Lexel buck driver is only 6$ more than the TA driver, and allows for constant brightness regulation.

For this type of light, I prefer constant brightness since I like that a lot.

Which is the better thrower ? NW 4800K or CW 6500K ???

The better thrower will always be the one with a lower color temperature.

Lower color temperature=lower wavelength=higher range=better thrower

Also, the 4800k version of both the XHP 70.2 and XHP35HI are 80CRI, versus the 6500k 70CRI, so much better again there.

So if I understand what you are saying, the NW 4800K HaikeLite MT07S HI Upgrade Version 3000Lumens , is the longest thrower of the group. And will give the best color distinction on objects as well at 80CRI. I am still learning the basics. I will Google more……

I only have the L6, and the beam is pretty comparable (70.2 version). Output of the MT07S 70.2 is about 20% higher than the stock L6. The output of the L6 does reduce with depleting cells which is not the case with the Haikelite.
There is just very little info regarding the 35 version. I think the 35 is an interesting light. It’s not a dedicated thrower like the TN42 or the MF02 with a huge reflector. The MT07S is much more compact and although not too comfortable, it actually is pocketable. I call it a sub thrower.
So for its size you get quite some throw with ~200 kcd intensity. So the 35 is less bright compared to the 70, but you definitely have a tighter more intense hotspot, also relative to the L6 and Q8.

Is the 35 HI or 70.2 version the one measured at 200kcd?

That’s the 35 from one source. The 70 does about ~70 kcd or so.

i said to myself not to buy anymore Haikelite from the previous group buy MT09R but i just couldnt resist the temptation and bite the bullet with XHP35. :disguised_face:
