Led4power.com : LD-4 CC linear drivers, ILC-0/1 illuminated tailcaps, optics, MOSX, copper DTP MCPCBs...

Also ordered one reel of Samsung LH351D 4000K 90CRI few days ago, they should be available in ~3 weeks.

Nice ! I will get a good amount of them

I see in few BLF threads people expressed need for BLF GT XHP70 DTP MCPCB. I can make them, just like BLF Q8 PCB, is there bigger interest(100pcs+)?

If yes,I can make a batch, available in ~1month.

If there is any other interesting MCPCB, I can also consider it.

As seen in his video, (at 1.45 minute) vestureofblood has used a prototype of such a board (with TA logo) in his XHP70.2 GT, the idea I think is that Lumintop at some point will come up with either a XHP70.2 GT or the loose board (and driver). There is no mention of a timeline for when things are happening but the question I guess is if there is a market for two sources for such a board. (perhaps you can contact Texas_Ace about what is going on) .

For me personally I’d be really happy if in a month or so there is a board ready, I have a driver and a led, I’m just waiting for a board now, and I’d be surprised if a Lumintop board will be ready a month from now.

Edit: Btw, I got the Q8 boards and leds in, just waiting for some time to swap them in a Q8 and check the fit and numbers.

My family was gentle on me today and allowed some time to try the led4power Q8 board in a Q8. I posted it in the WDYMT thread. In short, it works fine and the Q8 with Luxeon V leds rocks!

So I’m not up to date on the latest emitters, especially non cree emitters. There may be a better option coming soon. Seemed to be the case as I read some of the previous comments a day or two ago. I’m wondering however, if there would be enough interest in a 16mm board for the OSRAM black flat.

Thanks djozz! That was quick, I sent boards 4 days ago.

I will update Q8 PCB listing today.

I will make 16mm OSRAM mosX gen2 PCB (~4times lower thermal resistance compared to mosX), difference in output compared to copper DTP should be ~1.5 - 2% based on some calculations.

Triple/quad? This is the only powerfull led that may help carclo 10mm optics work the way it was developed for.

I have 3XP mosX, it should be good for testing.

I don't have washers+screws in stock yet, I hope I will have some in a few days.

From now on, shipping calculation is based on weight, over 50€ order registered shipping is available with 2€ discount included. Also, for heavy packages there is Premium packet option available for most EU countries, with good prices.

any idea about the centering rings? which ones should be used? I guess it’s okay with the stock ones but with the hole made a little bigger for the new led

I used a reamer to make the hole in the stock centering rings bigger, it was not fast going because the tiny rings do not provide much grip while the reamer scrapes the inside. Other centering rings that I have in my parts box do not fit the Q8 reflector hole.

Thank you!!

I’ve ordered the mcpcb with the leds :+1:

Got your drivers today.

Thanks  :face_with_monocle:

Regarding Luxeon MZ 5700K 90CRI (equivalent to 9080 Nichia CRI rating) interest, I got some more info from one supplier, the only problem is looong lead time of 13weeks. If lead time is 5-6weeks, I would buy one reel, but ~3months of waiting sounds too long for me. When I asked why lead time is so long, they said Lumileds actually runs production "on-demand", one good thing might be "fresh out of the oven" LEDs with higher that typical flux bin as result, we are in 2018, last datasheet update for MZ is form November 2015(!).

Planned "group buy" price was 5,97€ per piece (that's Mouser's price for 50+ pcs when you add typ. EU VAT of 20%). Regular price will be ~7,50€.

Is there still an interest in this LED with lead time of (up to ) 13 weeks?

In the meantime, I will have 32mm PCBs compatible with 3x and 4x CUTE optics for Eagle Eye X6 in 3535 and 4040 footprint.

Yes, I am interested in 3-4 plus PCB.

Yep,still interested.Busy summer starting,13 weeks is fine by me.

Interested in the MZ 90CRI for Q8 Board.

I would be interested in several Luxeon MZ 500K 90CRI and looking forward to the 32mm PCBs.
