This is tried design based on prevalent C8 host with XP-L HI LED (1A, 3A and 3B tints available) and BLF A6 FET + 1xAMC driver.
This means this light will offer best throw from any C8 host as in turbo mode it’s essentially direct driven - so use high drain battery like Samsung 30Q above for maximum light output (stated 1300lm, spring bypass may be needed).
And of course same great UI as BLF A6 :+1:
That’s exactly the case. Right now there’s no 8x18650 extension tube for MF04, but I would expect this might be available in the future (all other Astrolux lights were 1:1 BLF design). I’ll try to find out.
Two designs to pick the one you like better (the only difference being the appearance of the knurling) - note this is not an extension tube - just different design to change flashlight style.
It’s now in flash sale discounted from $85.99 to only $41.99 (–51%) Offer expires in 5 days and 5 hours.
It the most cost effective option on the market right now – parameters are not overstated: 2 USB output ports able to deliver up to 3A of current (combined) so its able to charge any smartphone out there. It doesn’t even require full sun to charge(performance is reduced of course). The same product is sold on amazon and elsewhere under Anker 20W and Anker 21W panel if you want to search for more reviews. It’s now even cheaper than in preorder one year ago…
I got one of these. Easy to dismiss as an expensive magnet until you go to change out a part in a smartphone. There IS a difference between some of the screws in an iphone, but the difference is nearly imperceptible to my old eyes. On closer examination there are some that are 2 or 3 treads longer than the others and I suspect that the holes they go in to are not forgiving of having a longer screw being forced into them. This is a great way to keep track of original hole locations.
Also got a fancy blue project pad. After decades of working on tiny stuff that could’ve really benefited from such a surface I got one just in time to be an old man.
Some suspect those screws are different length on purpose - you destroy PCB/mainboard traces when you put one of those imperceptibly longer screws in wrong socket…
On the other hand - this is not that expansive given the size. Any magnet even quarter the size will cost much more.
