Thrunite Catapult V6 (mini thrower) // Full reveiw

Wow I didn’t know shipping was that expensive to get things there. Hopefully HKE will get a few in stock soon.

I know what ya mean about don’t “NEED” another flashlight………I am at 140 now I think , or pretty close , but never have too many……
At least that’s my theory , wife has different thoughts at times I do believe. :innocent:

Have you tried Amazon.de yet? A marketplace seller „HoPE GmbH“ sells it for € 79,95 plus shipping. I don‘t know if they would ship to Denmark but maybe it’s worth a try.

@robo819 :

I think most of the $40 is tax for the Danish government

I only have the 65 flashlights I use most out in the open, and three big boxes of flashlights I do not like/use.

@ flashtom

Thanks for the suggestion, shipping to Denmark is € 16,80.

I think my best option is to wait until hkequipment.net has it in stock

Correct. Not available in NW. I had an order in for one and a few weeks later they told me it wasn’t going to be produced and refunded the money.

hkequipment.net have five Thrunite Catapult V6 it in stock ATM

EDIT :

05/30/2018 0500 Out of stock

Did you check how high the voltage need for activating turbo mode?

No I didn’t even think about that to be honest. I did the run time test listed in the charts in OP , starting in Turbo and just let the light run from there until it shut down.

Can you check it roughly? Base on Thrunite’s name, It’s acceptable for me if the minimum voltage is not higher than 3.7V.

It may take a while to get the result , but I can discharge the cell on my Opus charger to around 3.7 and then start checking Turbo mode from there I guess.

Thank a lot. Since you’re going to discharge your cell, I think you should test from higher voltage, like from 4.0, 3.9, 3.8….until you can’t activate turbo mode.

OK I have the results from my testing of the voltage needed for Turbo mode to activate. I turned the light on in Turbo mode each time I checked the voltage and lumens , let it stay on for 30 seconds , turned the light off and then discharged the cell a little more to do the next step.

I made a simple chart as to what the cell voltage was and also noted the lumens at each voltage or step of the testing.
Of course as would be expected , the lumens are much lower than what you will get from a fully charged cell.

Here is the chart with those results and I am also editing the OP and the chart will be there as well.

Good result. Thanks, I really appreciate your help

No problems…… As I have always said , I am glad to do the reviews and answer any questions about those lights that I can.

Got mine today, very nice little flashlight. Only thing I don’t like so much is the cool white tint so I put in a XHP35 HI C4 40E 4000K CRI80+ :

Got mine today too.

I hope you guys enjoy the lights as much as I have been liking mine.

I love mine.

Yes sir. I love mine catapult v6 too… built in charging is a great feature…

Yep, the V6 is a very neat little light, it freaks people out (hidden in one hand) when I turn it on in Turbo!

Thank you for the great review. Very informative and thorough. :+1:

I see that you got 8.98 Amps at the tail with the provided cell.

1.What Do you think my Ijoy or Golisi [which respectively can provide 30A and 31A continuous ] numbers might be?

2.Do you know what the continuous amp draw for the provided Thrunite battery is? It is not listed on the battery and I can not find any info. on it.

I am guessing 10A, maybe 15A at the most since it appears to have enough juice for the Cat V6

I do not have the equipment to do these tests even though they are probably simple!

,Thanks again!
