Group Buy: Wuben TO10R and TO46R (real 90+CRI triple XP-G3) - CLOSED!!

Literally failed to read, sending pm as requested.

Better if you are ok with a considerably warmer tint?
Besides the Cree’s fried egg beam (that you only see on a white walls) there really that much of a difference?

Will swapping to LH351D give higher lumen output?

I bought this light because it’s 5000K and HI CRI, I do like 4000K but mostly for indoors, for outdoors I prefer 5000K because 4000K Cree (XPL 5A) is slightly too warm/yellow for me. But in MaksVasilev’s photos the 4000K Samsung appears even more white than the 5000K Cree, however I’m not sure the photos show a accurate representation of the color (and he has the WB set different between the 2 photos).

In real life how does the LH351D 4000K compare to a Cree 4000K or this XP-G3 5000K as far as color is concerned? (overall color disregarding the tint shift)

Doing a bit of research here on my questions in my last post (above) I found maukka’s post in the LH351D group buy thread.

Compared to the (Actually low CRI) Cree the Samsung appears to have a bit of a pink-ish hue and does seem considerably warmer. But again I’m not sure the photos show a accurate representation of the color. In comparison to MaksVasilev’s photos here you see a very noticeable difference in tint color. Also the lumen outputs were equal.

White Balans are different and marked on photo.

This photo on same WB = 5000K (left: XP-G3 6000+K, right: With 4000K Samsung LED):

Since this can be easily modded (not glued), can these be sold without the emitter boards? I’m thinking of buying some presoldered noctigon emitter boards with the 219B 9080 from Clemence and put it in there. The 0.0049 DUV Maukka measured is on the TO46R is too high/green for my liking. But I like the two button UI and usb recharge on this nice looking host.

Not possible. Wuben simply won’t agree on selling hosts or parts. Sorry!

Oh. Besides the 90CRI emitters, is anything else different/improved on this version?

90+CRI instead of 70CRI
and
5000K instead of 6500K

Other specs are the same than original.

Okay thanks. Such a beautiful well designed light. I just wish they used LH351D or nichias.

One TO64R
One TO10R

Should have posted sooner so I can get the TO64R… waiting list it is…

I was aware the WB was marked on the photos, that’s why I mentioned they were set differently.

Thanks for this new set of photos with equal WB. Now the Samsung looks much less white than in the previous photo, but in comparison it makes the Cree’s look blue and ugly. And the Samsung’s have a much nicer large/even beam compared to the Cree’s.

I’d like to try one but I’m not sure where to buy them, I didn’t want to invest in 20 pcs. but it looks like they’re not currently available from e.a.s. anyhow.

Little more photos here: Strange light in my arms...: Wuben T046R, T010R - образец эталонного криворучия

Non-english text have one idea: good body and driver and bad default LED.

Thanks for the link.

A light in one of the photos caught my eye and I REALLY like it! (YLP Gryphon G18)
Couldn’t find a description of the UI though. Gryphon G18 — Online store — YLP light

.
Another YLP model I like is the G180, I learned of it from maukka’s review back in April.

Just grab a triple nichia mcpcb from Richard if you don’t like it. I had the old low cri xpg3’s in mine, and swapped out to a triple nichia. Took 5 minutes

For us who have already paid for our orders, now since the go-ahead signal has been released, will we get an email notification from Wuben regarding the tracking number for our order?

Yea I’m going to get a triple Noctigon board from Clemence with the 219B 9080 that he is hosting a GB for right now.

The G18 does look really good and thoughtfully designed. However, the Wuben TO46R has two buttons, 90 CRI emitters (too green for me though) and is half the price. I’ve also been very interested in the G180 for its optimally compact 3x18650 form factor but the driver only makes 3000 lumens so there’s not much potential with that light even with mods.

Got an email from Jason (Wuben) with my tracking number !

Thanks the for this GB ! :+1:

Good to hear!

Jason told me that they are shipping in the order of payments. “1st paid, 1st shipped”.

You will get the tracking number to your email (using the address you are using in PayPal).
