Do these SW40s and SW45s share the same Vf bin/voltage performance group? Hope they're at least quite close for an about even load distribution; if not, in series is the way to go.
No, they don’t. There’s always slight difference between LEDs, even those came from the same reel.
This is a makeshift solution practice which is not ideal but works OK. In real world practice many flashlight makers do the same. Some uneven brightnesses can be seen in ultra low firefly modes.
Low LED thermal resistance, high thermally conductive MCPCB, and careful soldering (thin solder joints) lessen the problem.
Clemence; Just covering my bases. Hopefully can find a good driver for this.
Pls add one more noctigon 3X in series ($3.30) plus two 219B 4500 and one 219B 4000 ($2.8 x three = $8.40) and reflow service for same (.70). I’m sending $51.75 + $12.40 = 64.15 USD
9A and you're asking if that would work. That depends in what you believe “to work” is. For emitters who start tapering at ≈4A when properly cooled, if “to work” is to witness Mr Magical Smoke that will work.
My guess is you probably meant to say “3A” or “Noctigon 3X parallel”. That fixes it.
