I have the 70.2 version. The metal thingy was stuck inside one of the holes of the foam.
I have ransacked my box inside out, and it is definitely not in there. :P
I have taken a photo of the inside of the box when sending the email/message to BG support, as I am sure they are likely to ask for a photo.
Mine is the XHP35 HI version.

The picture you’ve shown is also what I got (+ the light of course). I do know the light did not come with a ~20cm braided paracord with metal attachment, which I did get with the MT09R.
Is it to late to get in on this? I want one in the xhp35 hi. I just put my email in the form. If it’s still open I’ll use your link so you get the credit. It’s ashame people are stealing from your work
...the Paracord hand loop was one of my favorite MT09R bonus features...
I have 30Q cells aplenty, flat and button top. Any other cell recommendations for this light for Max performance or runtime (maybe 35E's ?)

mmmm…… I don’t know whose fault it is then. But it is clearly listed on the BG website that it should come with the “metal belt claw”. They even show two photos of it. I don’t have the MT09R myself. But from my perspective, if BG lists it on the website, with photos showing it as well, then as a buyer, I am being led to believe that it is included. So I hope they come to the party, and send it to me.

Which photos are you referring too? Maybe it’s because I just woke up but I cant see which part you’re missing.

Yessir, the thick braided Paracord pictured on BG is the premium one as came with my MT-09R. It's world class, perfect when using the light on higher hotter outputs. Unequalled by any other. I'd spend $10 on it alone, but pssssst don't tell HL :-)
Since it's pictured on the BG site should be exactly what to expect. Which case prepare to be really nicely surprised.

My flashlight XHP70.2 version came with the exact same contents as your box photo. No belt claw.
I think we got a cheaper lanyard.
If you look at my version of the light on BG website there is no lanyard in the photos at all.
Your version shows the more deluxe lanyard in the BG photos.
Still, I’m happy with the light and not too concerned about the lanyard.
I have to say it does look awesome, since you have one can you confirm that the D-shackle came with the better paracord? I believe that is what the others believe was missing from their package.
