Hi AlexGT
Sure.
I will start to take a look on this branded LED.
Thank you

I see. You used the 17mm driver pictures for the 20mm version also, that was why I was confused.
BanL: djozz:Hi Ban,
Is this driver http://kaidomain.com/p/S027634.20mm-3V-4_2V-600mA-1000mA-2-Groups-5-to-7-Mode-Driver-Circuit-Board-for-Cree-XM-L-Color-MC-E-Color indeed 20mm as stated?, or 17mm? (it used to be 17mm )Hi djozz
This driver has two size, once is 17mm (http://www.kaidomain.com/p/S025274.17mm-3V-4_2V-600mA-1000mA-2-Groups-5-to-7-Mode-Driver-Circuit-Board-for-Cree-XM-L-Color-MC-E-Color)
another once is 20mm (http://www.kaidomain.com/p/S027634.20mm-3V-4_2V-600mA-1000mA-2-Groups-5-to-7-Mode-Driver-Circuit-Board-for-Cree-XM-L-Color-MC-E-Color)
They are in same design and it just the board size is difference.
Thank you
Ban

Yes, they have the same look.
- Yeah, I’m going to be buying it, then swap the emitter.
And yes, if you see 3-9V, it means it is using a buck driver.
2. The best LED for pure raw output would be a 5000k 70CRI LH351D,as that is the most efficient single 3V LED on the market.
With a buck driver and a 2S driver, you will be getting the best constant output of a single 3V LED, at the cost of runtime compared to a 90CRI 219C due to a higher forward voltage.
Thanks. I found them at digikey, is there anywhere else that sells these LED’s?

I had completely forgotten about AEDe!
He does sell 5000k 70CRI LH351Ds. Go check out his thread and send him a PM.

From what I can tell he doesn’t have them currently, but as I recall you have to buy 20pcs.
He does not have them yet, but you don’t have to buy 20 of them.
Just buy 10 of them. They are the same price as the 90CRI 4000k, with higher forward voltage, but much more efficient.

OK thanks I’ll check with him.

With 2S and a buck driver running 3A output to a single LH351D, what would you estimate the max output to be? (5000k 70CRI version)
You would be getting about 1260 lumens.
You would be getting about 1260 lumens.
Wow, thanks. That is great for a 3v LED light that’s not run by direct drive!
So the output of a buck driver would be considered a “fully regulated” ?
Yes, as long as you have a 2S a sufficiently high input voltage to maintain regulated output.
http://www.kaidomain.com/p/S027639.Triple-SST-20-White-6500K-LED-Emitter-with-20mm-x-1mm-Copper-PCB-Parallel-w-optics
triple SST 20 on the KD MCPCB board /w optics, for 6.99 $US.
And I ordered 3 independent emitters for 3,19$ each few days ago…
Oh well :person_facepalming:
EDIT : Please KD, could you stock the High CRI version of the SST-20 ?
It’s called SST-20 WxH, here is the datasheet

I second this. Pretty cool. Tightly binned 2700/3000/3500/4000Ks too (if available).
Cheers ^:)
Someone should send one or two to koef3 for testing.

@ KD, please get the A120 footprint version which is XP-compatible. Like SST-20-W35H-A120-J4352

I have 10 coming in (from AE). If he’s up for testing them, I’ll likely send a couple to Texas_Ace since he’s here in the states. It’d probably be a bit more costly for me to send them internationally.

Mmm, a few hours ago I had to handle the FedEx shipping guy €29.23 in custom duties for a €33.24 order from the  states. Grrr $uck$…
Cheers :-)

I specifically mentioned koef3 because he actually tests the luminance.
