More Observations:
I went out today late at night with the X9r and the BLF GT (modded)
What I did this time was use the x9r in turbo mode more as your all aware it gives you 3 min in that mode before it cycles down.
So what I did was keep going to the limit and then going back into turbo mode. Just kept recycling into that mode
X9R
A. The X9R likes to be outside; its an outside light when I’m outside I don’t get the sensor problem at all just when I’m indoors
B. I think you all know the X9R is a flood light I went into the woods and out into a field today
The X9R performs great into the 300 yard mark. If your in a condensed wood area its amazing for this. Similar to the DX80
In fact the more I use it the more I’m liking it and would rank it above the Acebeam X80 so I’ve changed my tune a bit.
X9R likes
A. I’m going to reiterate here the heat dissipation on this light is “amazing” I used it in turbo mode a lot today and it just became slightly warm and I mean slightly no massive heat like the DX80
B. I kept cycling into turbo mode a lot and the battery life is also amazing I guess I just learned how to use it the Acebeamx80 for its size is amazing but it gets so hot it will literally burn you and I mean burn you; literally give you a 2nd degree burn…
I think I’m becoming more fond of this light the more I get used to how it performs
1. Battery life amazing
2. Heat sink amazing
but should you desire this beast use it outdoors it does not like being indoors…
now the BLF GT oh my oh my oh my…… its a technological marvel… and doesn’t cease to amaze me every time I take it out
I went deep into the woods today where it was pitch black with both lights using the x9r as my flooder and the BLF GT as my search lol…… it was a lot of fun
I finally ended up in a large field where the x9r isn’t as effective (its not bad) but this is where the BLF GT shines
The x9r was not able to pick up a sunk that was in the field but the BLF GT did … again I have a modded BLF GT but even the stock one is incredible
The flood of the x9r just couldn’t see it but the BLF GT did I mean it shined up the skunk it got frightened and ran away I wasn’t trying to be mean to the skunk I think they are cute
I just was amazed at the power of the BLF … this just doesn’t get old… lol…… starting to rethink my thoughts on the x9r….
Well I hope this helps some of you out … again if you have the means… pick up a BLF GT and the Olight you won’t be disappointed
