*** NEW *** Haikelite SC26 XHP35 26650/26350 aka Fatty ***Update*** 2018-07-24

It’s green. That’s the reason. I confess.

Hmm, that works.

I’m in for a green one like the one i ordered in the non GB still waiting for my refund.

I agree, I’m waiting for a review to see what’s the maximum sustained output.

Someone gave a good example why short turbo can be very useful. The guy is a climber or survivalist. Most of the time he just needed to see a few yards ahead, and that’s when he used low lumens. But once in a while he needed turbo to figure out his general direction. A distant path or something like that.
So perhaps it’s bit of a speciality use.

So if tests show this light has a sustained output of 900lm, I’ll call it a 900lm light with bonus 2500lm turbo. I’ll purely buying based on the duration of maximum sustained output.
Does that make turbo totally useless? No. I think many people, including me, will use turbo once in a while. I would prefer turbo to be hidden.

Currently my fav is an 650lm,18650 light. I’m searching for a compact 1000lm light that is very efficient at that level.

For those who were in the Group Buy from Terry - I got notice from Paypal that they recovered for all three of the lights I ordered. Check your email

Yep, I got a notice from Paypal today also. My refund is on the way.

I like BLUE. Will this light have Narsil?

May I ask no USB charging,… isint that the newest trend?

I am likely going to pick up on a blue and a green!

USB charging takes up a little space. One of the aims of this light is being as small as possible.

Paypal told me today that they decided in my favor and the refund might take 5 days or so. It also said that if there were insufficient funds in his account, that they will take appropriate action against his account.

Does this mean that if Terry empties his Paypal, refunds might not happen? I’d like to know how other folks have fared in situations like this.

Not to derail this thread, IF Haikelite can get this light working smoothly and powerfully, and IF there is a trusted review, I’d be glad to spend my money with the company that can get it done. I’d bet that others would too.

Oh, and I’d go with traditional Black or maybe the Sand(?) color. I’m tired of green to tell the truth.

The refund is now available in my paypal account so give it a few days.

As long as your PP acct is in good standing, PP should have your back whether or not T’s funds are available. Think of it as an insurance policy for using them to purchase things.

Good to know! Thanks.

I’ve got to say that lately I’ve been using my Convoy BD06 which is an under the radar 26650 light. Not much written about it, but what is written is pretty good. It’s about the size of my Oury mountain bike grips in diameter and it’s become my go-to light for around the house. It’s on the throwier side and just fits my hand really well. With a high-capacity 26650, it oughta run for a loooooooong time.

It’s got Biscotti on it which I like, but I like ramping a bit better.

I’d like to have an SC26 if it’s all that it could be and was promised by Haikelite. I’m crossing my fingers it is.

I received the same message a couple days ago, and received my refund this afternoon. :+1:

Nice to see a german dealer will be selling these, looks like a cool light if it will perform well.

Thank you for the warm welcome, hIKARInoob. I guess you are referring to the very nice and interesting reviews from MKR (lilahand.de). To be honest, I don´t have the time actually nor the technical equipment to publish such detailed reviews. However, we have a Youtube channel also where you find flashlight videos from our series Helle Taschenlampen@Night (bright flashlights at night). Thanks also for creating the poll - it looks like navy blue is the most wanted color, hm? :)

By the way, we have a special World Cup 2018 offer for the SC26. I will contact the admin first to ask for permission to post it here on BLF. Next batch of SC26 will be available next week according to HaikeLite so I guess we should receive them at the beginning of the last week in June.

Cheers

Markus

Sign me up for a blue!

Greetings

I’m interested in a 26650 one. Colour is not of the utmost importance to me, but that being said the only other colour flashlight I have is a camo mini maglight. If the price is right I have no preference between Banggood, Gearbest, or distributors in other countries.

no names to protect the innocent I filed a dispute with PayPal. They said they would give the other party 10 days to respond. There was no response and I received a credit on my PayPal for the amount I paid. I never once saw a message about the other party has to have funds in the account, etc. The way I understand it, the whole point of PayPal is they provide insurance for online transactions, and it worked as advertised for me.

WOW!! vinte77:: What a killer custom configuration, Love your emitter ideas.

Six months ago the SC26 riveted my attention because it made use of the platypus 26350 cell (for me it was an RCR123 form factor with TRIPLE the capacity, 2000mAH) and modularity of the extension tube for LONG run times with a 26650 cell. In a very ergo compact form factor, ramping UI, and color choices. A killer combo for EDC, and at $32, a nice price.

....I’m talking myself into one again, Danger Will Robinson...

the battery capacity is the secret sauce here, and 2000mAh 2S makes for a lot of mod possibilities....

Navy Blue NW 4800 80CRI, please. :-)

Today will be 10 days since i filed for the paypal dispute… i will update…

Same here Newlumen. All I’ve received from Paypal is an e-mail stating my dispute has now been escalated to a claim. Nothing more.

Thanks for all the info hiKARlnoob. I prefer the green.

It seems to me whenever these upgraded SC26’s are released, Haikelite should honor the first 100 of us that paid Terry first chance at them even though Haikelite didn’t sponsor the group buy.
