✌ FREEME - ASTROLUX MF04S (XHP70.2) & MF04 (XHP35 HI) - BRASS@.@

Haha, I noticed my readings are forever on the lower side. You guys can trust me for not publishing exaggerate figures just for the sake of sale.

I got higher value for 15m. Maybe you want to give it a try?

From two different model meters.

Select max on lux meters then moving the sensor around to get max reading.

I will test it at 15 meters and then 20 meters to see what the lux reading will be.

I expressed interest but never received a PM with the code. Can I still get a discount code?

Hi.

Mine arrived today, CW. Works all fine.
Thanks freeme and BG.

@Hardusvd70
You use 3 different luxmeters for your readings comparing different flashlights, could you please reduce that to just one to get a fair comparison? (not saying your readings are wrong, just less accurate like this)

Will do that, busy with that now. I will use the red lux meter for all lights and update.

I got my astrolux mf04 CW today… I shine at the white wall and the beam look great… thank you GB and banggood.

Has anyone had a notification that their NW version has shipped yet?

I’m dead to Banggood. No reply or reaction to anything. :person_facepalming:

I ordered my NW the first of this month. Not shipped yet, but after all I ordered later than most people.

I tested my mf04 CW and got 1930 lumen… I am happy with this light.

I emailed BG asking for an expecting shipping date on my NW ordered 2nd of June and they said expected stock on 19th of July

They wouldn’t take any chance of making customer angry with a too optimist shipping date, so they stick to the initial delay.

Ordered my second AstroluxMF04. Very happy with its performance.

I wonder if they use low binned emitters. Driver is delivering 2.4A iirc. There is room for at least 10% improvement.

The MF04 should be about 2.7A at the emitter on the later versions. Cree xhp35-HI has a plus or minus 7% variation on each bin so no two lights will measure they same. Plus the lumen tube has a plus or minus 5% variation. So 1930 lumen sounds about right to me.

Astrolux is probably not using a top bin emitter due to costs. They also probably don’t use a bottom bin, more likely they use something in the middle.

I guess you would have to measure the lumens, then swap in a top bin emitter and see if you get gains. If it’s 10% to 15% gain then maybe the original is one bin level lower, etc… It’s all very hard say for sure. Whether it’s 1930 or 2130, you probably can’t see the difference with your eyes. Only the equipment will see it.

Remember my lumen tube is 4.5in. Maybe all the light doesn’t transit to the diffuser???

I will do more test when I can. Even if it is a 2000 lumen, mf04 is still impressive because of the intensity lux.

LichtAn, why do you think this is a low number? What are you comparing it to?

Newlumen, have you compared the lumens of the MF04 to the GT?

We know the GT uses a D4 bin.
