Rechargeable D size NiMH help

Hello as the subject says, im looking for help or advice of what some good quality rechargeable NiMH cells are? Any brand i should avoid? I currently own two(2)
Tenergy Centura 5000mah LSD D NiMHs.

I just got a Husky 1,000 lumen 3D triple LED flashlight as a gift yesterday and i actually really like it. Heavy but it would come in handy during a power outage or something. Heck it would make a great self defense tool! I am not saying to use it as a weapon or to go and hurt anyone/anything with this.

Anyway…. Any tips or suggestions you all have would be greatly appreciated!!

I do have some AA to D adapter things i got off Amazon forever ago, but they are very cheap feeling.

Thanks

"Tensai D TR-C8000 8000mAh (White)":https://lygte-info.dk/review/batteries2012/Tensai%20D%20TR-C8000%208000mAh%20%28White%29%20UK.html

I can't seem to properly link the 2nd link due to the parentheses so please copy paste and add "https:" at the beginning of it.

Hi i tried both. Clicking on the link and copy paste but it just says “404 not found”

Does this link work?

Then search for “Tensai D TR-C8000” and also for “Tensai D TR-D10000”

Shit, it doesn’t… How does HKJ link to his site? Ok, how about this ? Should be the first google option.

Then search for “Tensai D TR-C8000” and also for “Tensai D TR-D10000”

yes i found HJK site. LSD is best for flashlights correct if theyre gonna be in there for a while? I got a Husky 1000 lumen claimed triple 3 D led flashlight as a gift and i really like it to be honest

thank you. I will read up on those batteries. I dont remember if i mentioned anything about me having a Tenergy Universal charger to charge the D size batteries in. Its the TN299
I think thats right

this https://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-1000-Lumen-Virtually-Unbreakable-Aluminum-Flashlight-99294/205937853

its huge

I can’t find any reviews on the Tenergy TN299 but nothing about it seems disconcerting so I’d say you’re fine.

ok thanks! I couldnt find anything about it either. so i figured id ask. I was thinking about just going with those AA to D cell adapters, but the capacity would be lower so runtime would go down. idk by how much though.

I might have the wrong name for the charger… let me check real quick. I like that i can charge 4 D at a time

Thanks Pete!

Those ReCyko 5700mAh and Soshine 11000mAh look really nice. Thanks for the link.

X2 indeed they do. Just gotta order me some now

Why no convert to accept single 18650 OR 26650 battery? I modified the 650 lumen and 1000 lumen version of this light to accept BOTH single 18650 OR 26650.

On related note : I modified the Police Security branded 1050 lumen 6 D cell flashlight to accept 2 18650 OR 2 26650 batteries. The flashlight blows Maglite 6 D Cell flashlight in terms of lumen output and aggressive strike bezel head.

I don’t know how to do that and probably don’t have the tools to do that either. How would I do that?
Are you talking about the Husky light?
