✌ FREEME - ASTROLUX MF04S (XHP70.2) & MF04 (XHP35 HI) - BRASS@.@

Has anyone had a notification that their NW version has shipped yet?

I’m dead to Banggood. No reply or reaction to anything. :person_facepalming:

I ordered my NW the first of this month. Not shipped yet, but after all I ordered later than most people.

I tested my mf04 CW and got 1930 lumen… I am happy with this light.

I emailed BG asking for an expecting shipping date on my NW ordered 2nd of June and they said expected stock on 19th of July

They wouldn’t take any chance of making customer angry with a too optimist shipping date, so they stick to the initial delay.

Ordered my second AstroluxMF04. Very happy with its performance.

I wonder if they use low binned emitters. Driver is delivering 2.4A iirc. There is room for at least 10% improvement.

The MF04 should be about 2.7A at the emitter on the later versions. Cree xhp35-HI has a plus or minus 7% variation on each bin so no two lights will measure they same. Plus the lumen tube has a plus or minus 5% variation. So 1930 lumen sounds about right to me.

Astrolux is probably not using a top bin emitter due to costs. They also probably don’t use a bottom bin, more likely they use something in the middle.

I guess you would have to measure the lumens, then swap in a top bin emitter and see if you get gains. If it’s 10% to 15% gain then maybe the original is one bin level lower, etc… It’s all very hard say for sure. Whether it’s 1930 or 2130, you probably can’t see the difference with your eyes. Only the equipment will see it.

Remember my lumen tube is 4.5in. Maybe all the light doesn’t transit to the diffuser???

I will do more test when I can. Even if it is a 2000 lumen, mf04 is still impressive because of the intensity lux.

LichtAn, why do you think this is a low number? What are you comparing it to?

Newlumen, have you compared the lumens of the MF04 to the GT?

We know the GT uses a D4 bin.

Is it possible and easy to open the flashlight to change the LED from CW to NW?

Interested in price for MF04 NW

CW model is currently under promotion. Do take note that our group buy coupons will only work on non-promotional models.

Regarding MF04 questions from my fellow members, I will reply them once i finish clearing some of my personal works soon. Sorry for the late replies in advance.

Alright… give or take… i measured my fenix tk15 1000 lumen light to make sure my tube is not reading high or low… first number is turn on and second one is 30 seconds…

Thanks Newlumen, for your this great news with the readers. It is very difficult to get accurate readings for lumens with an oversized head like MF04.

Just went to order the Astrolux MF04 on the Banggood website, put in my coupon code clicked apply & it Won't accept my coupon code,it says: This coupon cannot be used on already discounted presale products.

Im trying to order the Cool White version wich it says is on sale with 23% off wich means banggood want me to pay $230.34 without shipping. Can someone please help me sort this out ?

thanks..

Yes of cause, for CW you have to wait, till the price goes up again. Without special presales price or Midyear-sale, you can use the code. Martin and Freeme described this on further Presales too.

Thanks for the test. Looks like some light is exiting due to the big head, so the real number is probably a bit higher. Can’t wait for the light, especially because I don’t have a GT and this is my first monster head light.
