ENEDED

+1……. I am interested also. I read that thread too, but still interested. Nice looking light. :+1:

Forwarded. I haven't got the time to find out how AX1 draws over 4amp on high without blowing up. Haha.

I have one those Amutoch AX1, and I intend to make the review soon. Didn’t have the time earlier. Can’t say much about the current draw or lumens, but if you need any info on other aspects, you can PM and I’ll try to answer

BTW, freeme, please add me to the interest list on the AT4! This seems a nice light to mod :smiling_imp:

Very interested!

Thank you MascaratumB, PM sent.

Forwarded?

Thanks!

/\ +1… Thank you freeme!!
.
Edit: …. Ordered an AX1. :+1:

Interested … thanks guys!!

You guys will apparently buy anything… It looks like a bad/flawed design and there’s no review, but it’s looks nice and is Ti… :person_facepalming:

Hum, why does it look like a flawed design? Can you please elaborate on that? Thanks :+1:
BTW, normally this manufacturer delivers good quality flashlights, despite some issues here and there in different models (or in some units).

Really…. :open_mouth::smiley:

Is your declaration that “it looks like a bad/flawed design” based on something factual or is it simply some ‘opinion’ you pulled from thin air?

I’d honestly like to know.

And as far as “no review” goes…. so what?

Well, the curved aspheric lens & off-center emitters plus the deep bezel seem like a recipe for a terrible “beam”.

in if the price is right!

Oh, thanks for the answer! I never owned a light like this, so I don’t know what I could expect.

Maybe freeme can show us a beam meanwhile to see how it looks like!

All that Aspheric means is that curve of the lens is not a portion of a sphere. That means all sorts of unusual shapes can in fact be part of the lens design, and such shapes could easily be utilized to correct for the fact that the LED’s are not in the center. The ability to do such things is part of the attraction of aspherical optics.

Amutorch did warn their customers advance, on the beam artifacts for such LED configuration. However, it would not be noticeable as the edges go beyond your field of view when you shine 2.5 m/ 8ft away.

Do ignore the tint as my wall is not pure white in color.
