*** NEW *** Haikelite MT09R Monster lights *** Update *** 2018-07-03

I dont see CRI numbers listed in HL’s product and BG’s. From where were your MT09Rs sourced? Hoping this new version stick to those numbers.

I think haikelite use TA driver on their new 24000 lumen light… anyone can confirm?

That’s the million dollar question. There is a pass around MT09R light heading towards our friends of TLF, so I suspect za Germans will give us the answer first.

I’m surprised BlueSwordM hasn’t responded. The 4000K 80cri was an emitter sourced by Texas_Ace, not HL.

I’m not sure about the 5700K.

It might his design, but he did not make. The last picture I saw of the protype from the Chinese driver maker was total trash.

Prototypes can look bad, but function good. I wouldn’t focus on it unless it used inferior components. I will reserve all judgment until they are officially released and reviewed.

BTW, where was that picture? I’d like to see it.

TA sent it to me as a PM but asked I not make it public. I am sure he would send it to you.

I still remember that Terry said the 5700k was 80CRI.

Not sure about the 4000k and 3000k at all.

I would be very interested if haikelite make mt09r with the 8 cells version… i feel like 4 cells drain very quickly…

Yeah. I would love to have 8 cells.

I would buy the aftermarket tube if it was possible.

Okay, so the 5700K 80CRI was what HL said they used on the factory lights. If so, then the new lights could definitely be using that.

To my knowledge HL never had the 4000K 80CRI. Those were hard to get emitters that TA found.

I could definitely tell it was 80CRI at 5700k.

The real reason for Haikelite not putting in 4000k 80CRI emitters were not because they were hard to find. I easily found them at Mouser and Arrow, and I could easily order them myself.

The problem would be that the top bin of 4000k 80CRI is quite a bit more expensive than the lower bins, which is why Haikelite did not put them in their lights.

This is from TA post…

Highest P2 bin 70cri XHP70.2 tints:

5700k
4000k

80cri xhp70.2 Tint options:

4000k
3000k (NASA had me install these into a GT for them, looks like an incandescent light, pretty neat actually)

In the real world the 80cri have a much lower forward voltage and usually are only a little behind the 70cri in lumens from my testing. For example the P2 4000k in my L6 was a bit over 9k lumens and my 80cri M4 bin 4000k is around 8500 lumens, it just pulls about a fair amount more current to do that.

I can also get different xhp35 HI tints as well:

70cri D2 bin 5700k
80cri C4 bin 4500k
80cri C2 bin 4000k
80cri C2 bin 3000k

XHP35 HD (HD has the dome still on it, a bit less throw but more lumens, I like them in everything but a dedicated thrower myself):

70cri E4 5700k
80cri C4 5700k
70cri D4 5000k
70cri D4 4500k
70cri E2 4000k
80cri D2 3000k

Anyone have a beamshot of 80 cri xhp70.2 4000k ?

M440G 80CRI

Pretty much tried them all…

That telephone pole looks sketchy.

Are these legit? Store has good reputation.

This was mentioned briefly in the past. A member noticed this store selling the coloured MT09R lights: Closed Official Haikelite MT09R *UPDATE Now including TA's Pricing for Emitter Upgrades* Closed - #1680 by Winston_Wulf

Former Haikelite USA distributor replied: “Almost forgot. I Spoke with Dale last night. Haikelite knows nothing of their brand listing on Aliexpress so a little warning. Purchasing those are totally non authorized and will not be covered by the brand in any way.”

I would double check with Dale to see if this is true though. I personally tend to think the lights are legit.

I’m a bit more careful with Aliexpress nowadays. And since 130 Euro are on the line…I better wait.

That’s a different story, but that’s also my take on the situation. No Paypal, no thank you.
