Can you confirm the report from Chargerlab about having to plug, unplug, and plug in again to get the Apple charging protocols recognized?
http://chargerlab.com/2018/03/16/dismantling-the-xiaomi-mi-6-usb-port-fast-charger/
How would a user be able to tell this recognition had happened correctly, without the “Power-Z” test device they used?
during our first attempt, the charger didn’t support Apple protocols. However, after we unplug the cable and plug it again, it worked.
We tried charging our iPad …. However, we needed to unplug the cable for a couple times for the charger to work.

No, I did not notice any problem when testing, but i did not try with a IPad.

I will take a look at it, but the specifications looks phony: QC2: 5V only, QC3: 5V, 9V, 12V that standard usb and QC2

Hi HKJ,
I’d like a slim, small capacity powerbank, around 3-4000 mAh or so. I’m considering building recycling a smartphone lipo, but I’m also having a look to ready options… these two for example could be interesting, in case you are interested in reviewing them:

Hmm, just my opinion, regarding the low-cost small-capacity powerbanks,
I think there are too many such kinds it may not be possible to do that much “stringent” testing on them — low-cost unbranded items tend to not have that much quality control and while one batch may perform better, the next batch may easily change… at least based on my experience of them. Just my 2 cents worth…
Actually, I have something that looks practically the same as your second link (the one here: https://www.gearbest.com/power-banks/pp_436972.html ), someone passed it on to me (my relative got it as a “giveaway” souvenir from some club event).

The seller do not ship to Denmark (Shipping would probably be way to expensive anyway) and I could not find it on Aliexpress or Abay

The Tomo Epilot E4 is available from Gearbest (black is a few cents cheaper than white); maybe there’s a generic coupon code somewhere to bring down the price…
https://www.gearbest.com/chargers/pp_1319856.html
I saw a cheaper price for the Epilot E4, but I’m not familiar with the following online store, and whether they ship or not…

While searching for the Tomo powerbanks, I came across other models too:
Tomo D2 (2x 26650) powerbank/charger:
https://www.gearbest.com/chargers/pp_1524290.html
(specs list the input current @ 1A ; it will take a long time to fully charge 2x 5000+ mAh 26650 with this powerbank…)
Tomo K2 powerbank/charger/flashlight (2x18650):

Specifically the LeTV QC3.0+MTKPE version (note: this is the YZXstudio store).
Finally there might be a quality MTKPE charger with at least 2A output at 12V.
EDIT:
This one seem even better, it offers the full 2.4A at 12V with MTKPE and you can even change the plug type:
