Well I’m definitely interested in price(s), and I might get a XHP35 version. Please send me info when available, thanks freeme! It’s really good to see this finally happening. :sunglasses:

For the XHP70.2 variant, would be happy to see a 8 cell version though, if that will become available at some time.

I am compelled to point out that the prospects for this light actually producing 25,000 lumens are tiny. A number of MT09R’s were sold without drivers in the US. Texas_Ace designed a driver, and he added the driver to these lights for customers of the lights sold without drivers, and sold a license to use that driver to Haikelite for use in the MT09R. Texas_Ace offered a number of upgrades in addition to the driver to raise the output. I believe the highest output Texas_Ace was able to achieve was about 23,000 lumens from some units. However in order to achieve that, the LED’s were upgraded, and there were a number of internal modifications made to the light to reduce internal voltage losses (such as battery spring bypasses). Those internal modifications are impractical for a mass produced light, so they are unlikely to be on the factory produced MT09R lights. Absent the upgraded LED and those internal ‘tweaks’, I would be very surprised if the output exceeds 20,000 lumens. 20,000 lumens is a big number, no argument, but it definitely isn’t the 25,000 lumens claimed. If the units Texas_Ace hand built couldn’t reach 25,000 lumens, the mass produced version won’t reach it either.

Thanks for pointing out. Haikelite used to over spec some of their lights, this is their normal practice. I think they use the LED lumens instead of OTF lumens.
I have a MT03 II that is rated 12000 lumens and it gets really hot in 1 minute or two. Its thermal regulation seems to be not working.
I am sure this MT09R 25000 or 20000 lumens heat up much faster.
I think I don’t mind it doesn’t hit 25000 lumens as long as it is over 20000 lumens and throw much further than MT03.

The Texas_Ace driver used in the MT09R can put out 260 watts, so it is a pretty safe bet it gets very warm very quickly at full output.

It’s obviously not 25 000 lumens.

Even if you were to use top bin P2 XHP70.2s and spring bypasses all over the place, there is no chance it will get 25k lumens in a flashlight.

21000 lumen or 20,000 lumen for sure.
