The firmware changes the switch brightness on a 3-step scale — off, low, high. This is done in sync with the main emitter brightness. It can also be configured for one of four modes while the main emitters are off — off, low, high, or beacon.
In the video, the switch is only shown in high mode or off.
I think the lantern is supposed to have a warmer color of LEDs under the button too.
Hi DBSAR, Thanks to you and everyone else for all the hard work. The lantern looks great! The video was also very useful and informative. I look forward to seeing further developments.
As Goshdogit mentioned it is from a flame-bulb i got for amazon. it fits perfect for the Q8, and the battery end of the Q8 does fit inside it for more compact storage.
* Currently trying to upload the PART-2 of the BLF Lantenr video, but the slow wifi i am using at my location while on my east coast trip is really, really slow… its crashing constantly. I hope to get it on my youtube by tomorrow or this weekend.
added zcbtjwj for two more lanterns, interest list numbers 897 and 898. You also asked for two Christmas 2017 and those two are interest numbers 461 and 462.
Please confirm you are interested in 4 total lanterns.
Informative and Impressive videos. Thanks for this project DBSAR and also to all others that have and continue to contribute.
……. ……… and I still think the ‘Official Name’ should be the DBSAR’s BLF/LT ……… ya’ll know we are going to call it the LT anyway……Cudos to DBSAR
