Interesting point. I already have two of those, but I want two more.
A single unit can produce a very nice amount of light, however it becomes so bright that it’s unpleasant to look at it directly. By having multiple units, you can have a more balanced illumination, while keeping the output per unit low enough so it doesn’t bother anymore looking directly at it.
Having multiple units also enhances the coziness as well; it’s just like with candles, having several of them instead of one enhances ambiance.

Is it too late to get in?

Nope, it’s just on hold at the moment.

interested.

Got mine today and I absolutely love it!

It doesn’t feel cheap at all, it makes quite a worthy, well build impression, the materials used feel solid and the light color (WW) and light distribution are fantastic.

I’m glad tho that it has a USD charging port because the only downside I could find is that it’s quite hard to screw on the “tailcap” to the
battery compartment. If you’re not careful you run the risk at “screwing up” (no pun intended) the threads.

It’s just a little beauty, a real gem!

Cheers,
Nico

I have two of these. I couldn’t be happier. Great little lanterns!

I’m interested in a couple when this GB becomes available again.

Mine arrived today.

These lanterns are neat!! I am definitely a happy camper…. . .

Thanks freeme……

Got my 4 yesterday. Very nice

Received mine as well today. I didn’t think it was that because the package was coming from a P.O. box in Mississauga, Ontario. It seems that Gearbest use a forwarder in Canada. All my past Gearbest orders came directly from China.

And for those wondering, a protected Panasonic NCR18650-B do fit. I have one in my lantern right now that is 69.9mm long.

I’m expecting mine to arrive tomorrow according to tracking.

OK, interested.2 please.

Mine arrived yesterday, it is a real nice lantern. Very happy with it.

Just did a quick test of the battery on my Liitokala 500: i got 2621mAh and a relative low internal resistance of 37mR.

Now I know the Liitokala’s are not accurate in measuring internal resistance at all but it does give a usable indication: about the same internal resistance
as a Panasonic 18650B, so it looks like the cell that came with the lantern is not bad at all and indeed quite usable.

Cheers,
Nico

Thanks for the info Nico, I have not had time to test mine yet.
Good info…… :+1:

Got mine today. Awesome lantern! The tint shifting is super nice.

Springs are all good this round?

The spring on the positive I can’t check but the spring on the minus is quite strong and sturdy so, yes, looks to be just fine.

It’s not a special spring or a double one but on a lantern who needs that?

BTW: the magnet in the tailcap is strong enough to hold the lantern upside down in place, nice addition to enhance usability.

Also a great light to use at low setting in WW in your bed room, as I noticed recently……

Cheers,
Nico

I think Nico summed up the spring situation pretty good. :+1:
All of mine seem just fine too.

Got my 2 yesterday…VERY pleased. Thank you Freeme!
