Aimkon iTP N1 CREE XP-G2 165lm Keychain Flashlight

This is a very nice keychain light that uses 1/3N primary lithium batteries. It is smaller than 10180 lights. Peak output is insane for this size at 165 advertised lumens. My eyeball test says its about 140 real lumens. Unfortunately, 1/3N batteries are expensive and I haven’t been able to find a rechargeable cell to fit. I got one when it was $3.75, and the price fluctuates between that and $20.

The Olight S1R Baton 900 lumens has dropped to $32.24 after applying 30% coupon (usually $65) .

Update:
The Olight S1 Mini 600 lumens with 16340 rechargeable battery has dropped to $24.50 with 30% coupon. (usually $50).

The Lumintop Tool AA is in an Amazon (US) Lightening Deal until about 10:55 EDT, Jul 20 for $14.80. I believe the UltraTac A1 may be giving the Tool AA some competition in the future because of the similar form factor and modes However, the A1 has a better mode spread using NiMH, Alkaline, and primary lithium batteries: Low (1 Lumen) -> Med (30 Lumens)-> High (220 Lumens). Both the A1 and Tool AA start out in Low, have no mode memory. The A1 also has a more pleasant color tempertature IMHO at around 5500K verus 6500K for the Tool AA.

Thorfire VG10s is currently 40% off with N5LH2OQT coupon code, which brings it to $14.70 before tax.

Update: It looks like Thorfire is doing a lot of promotions on Amazon right now. A lot of the lights have coupons.

Many of the ones that don’t have coupons have substantial discounts on purchases of one or more if you scroll and look at the special offers. For example, the BLF Q8 is currently 30% off ($50.40) using the promotion code listed in special offers.

Finally, various products have discounts if you buy with other ThorFire products.

I took a chance on two of these headlamps from US Amazon. Two buttons provide separate control of the white and red LEDs. They are $4.04 each with coupon code HEADCO05.

Tested the coupon code again and it didn't work for me. Maybe it is one-time use only. Bon Chance!

Have you received yours yet? If so, how is the tint color? Does it have mode memory? Can the strobe be bypassed?

FYI, it looks like it’s shipping from China.

No sir, I haven't received them and really know nothing about them other that what's in the description. But I doubt that you can bypass the strobe. They will probably be gifted. Bon Chance if you buy one!

Thanks! At $4, it’s worth a shot. I might give it to my kid to run around with.

EDIT: I noticed there is another listing for this product from a different seller - Amazon.com - this one has free 2-day prime shipping. Not sure if the coupon code would work on this listing as well. The coupon is one time use.

This head lamp has no mode memory per a response to my question on the site. The white LED always comes up in High, and the red LED always comes up steady. This means you will never see the strobe if you turn it off in High or Low - which works for me.

I am not concerned about the 3 - 4 week delivery time because I already have headlamps. This purchase is a whim, and my wife is going to gag when it arrive.

That’s assuming you can turn it off without having to cycle through the rest of the modes first.

If I have to look at strobe to turn it off, then that would VERY disappointing. I probably would probably keep it in my car and give it away to a stranger.

I'm hoping its a knockoff of the Vitchello V800 headlamp which has similar appearance, separate buttons for white and red, like modes, no mode memory, and shut off when you hold the button down. I really do like the V800 headlamp which one reason I bought this one that seems similar.

One for you zoomie fans. The Wowtac A3 seems to have a price drop right now. It’s the 600 lumen model. I had a few of them at one time and they are a mighty fine zoomie. Comes with a micro usb equipped 18650. They were usually $19.99, now they have the price down to $15.95. The upgraded 1000 lumen A3S is still at $29.99.

Great zoomie for a decent price.

The 20% discount code GKUUE77I brings the price of a $49.99 MiBOXER C8 on Amazon down to $39.99.

Yea I got that email too  Even though I probably have 4x 4 bay chargers atm, I don’t have an 8 bay, and I like the MiBoxer C4, so I broke down and ordered this. It should do well for the BLF GT and the “coming soon” GT70

Todd, not a zoomie fan. But if price drops on Wowtac BSS V3 I would grab 1.

I regret making this purchase. It turns out that this headlamp is poorly built and performs poorly. After a couple of presses, the buttons started receding into the housing and I expect will soon become a point of failure. One must cycle through all modes (including strobe) in order to turn if off. The output is not even close to 200 lumens. But it does work, fits my large head, and did come with batteries.

Got the following message after trying to submit a review for this product on Amazon:

"This product currently has limitations on submitting reviews. There can be a number of reasons for this, including unusual reviewing activity."

Tried several times and was not successful. My query on Fakespot.com showed 0 reviews for this listing, which indicates no one has ever been allowed to submit a review.

This crap product showed up under a new Amazon listing on DealNews.com this morning. I was able to review this listing and gave the headlamp there two stars. Please be wary if you see it. I expect this headlamp will keep popping up on Amazon under fresh new listings - staying ahead of reviewers.

Thanks for the update. That’s unfortunate.

FYI, I ended up buying this one instead: Amazon.com

It only has two modes for the main LED (low/high), and single mode for the side LEDs. No strobe or any other blinkies. It runs on a single AA cell and is pretty lightweight. Head strap looks to be of pretty good quality and is comfortable. The main LED is somewhat throwy. The side LEDs give a very diffused/dispersed light output. My kid loves running around with it on his head.

Pete, thanks for the info and link. This new headlamp is appealing, but I'd rather get it cheaper.

According to Keepa.com, it was in an Amazon lightening deal on June 26th for $6.79. So, I think I will wait awhile before purchasing it to see if it goes on sale again. I set up tracking on Keepa to trigger at $7.00, but (if it like camelcamelcamel.com) the notification may lag too much to be useful. What peaks my interest is the fact that it uses a single AA battery which is unusual in a headlamp.
