Fireflies ROT66, Born for fans of flashlight

Beautiful pictures!
The output is great, comparable to Q8.

just WOW! :)

Nearly 5000 lumens of rosy R9080!

Great photos! :+1:

Awesome, thanks! Happy it actually does 5k.

Amazing that such an enthusiast light exists in stock form.

Sweet flashlight :sunglasses: Great photos as always!

So how does the blue glow inside the head actually work? At first I thought it was very low power blue LEDs, but now it looks like it’s just reflection from the blue fluorescent board?

Btw I don’t know much about driver design, can someone tell me why a good chunk of those 7135 chips are missing?

Take a look at the picture! There is a “white” strip above the emitter board, glued to the internal “wall” ! It is Glow In The Dark (GITD or GTD ) tape :sunglasses:

Is this an ordinary pcb? It doesn’t look like copper, especially DTP.

I think I see copper on the inside of the holes in the middle of the board.

Yes, It’s copper

Thanks for the great preview as always! I already have the legendary 219B 9080 version on order and might buy an XP-L HI version too. I’m sure this will become an enthusiasts’ classic light like the Q8, M43, and Emisars.

One thing I noticed is that the canopy over the slide is yellow with the Q8 but washed out with the Fireflies. My flashlights with 219B 90CRI emitters render colors far better than any of my flashlights with Cree emitters so I’m just wondering is that just this one pic playing tricks.

Did you spring bypass your Q8?

Also do you think the PCB on the Firefly can be removed to reflow different emitters?

Wonder what the slide and tree look like with a daytime control shot being illuminated by the sun.

Does anybody know about the missing chips on the driver?

Q8, a little mod on Tail

Yes, You can replace 3535 LED

Could you add a control dayshot of the slide and tree Steel? Also, how long does the fluorescent sticker glow after the light is turned off?

Sorry, I don’t understand……

Very faint light
You can ignore the time because there is a side button to illuminate

A picture of the tree and slide during day time under sun.

Oh, I see

Looks like nice thick traces on that copper star. :sunglasses:

No I meant take a photograph of that scene during day time.
