Basically my 30,000 lumen light is recording 2,000 lux on the Texas_Ace tube then x 10 by the meter for 20,000
My 3,000 lumen light is recording 200 lux and x 10 for 2,000
The tube is not quite calibrated, it would be better x 15 but it’d still penalise heavy flooders, sitting the lights on the diffuser got me a lot closer to Maukka’s results (I have most of the lights he tested and some multiples of the same so I know they are all within a few % of each other) but it would only really boost the flooders.
Oh God, are we really doing this again?! And in another, unrelated thread?! Really KG_Tuning, you need to drop this. Nobody here wants to hear you go on and on about it, the site owner has already warned you and locked one thread over it, and yet here we are again…weeks later. This isn’t a good look man…
OMG, you just selectively choose to ignore the data posted to show the TA tube does not favor flooders over throwers. The MT03 super flooder with the same driver and emitters as the throwier MT09R measures about the same lumens, which CLEARLY says your accusation of the TA tube favoring flooders is simply not true for other TA tube users. If you just choose to not read what others post and not willing to work with us to find out the reason for the issues you are claiming, there’s no point of continuing this discussion.
The MS 2010, PowerTac X10000 Destroyer, and Microfire Challenger H5 look really good with alot of potential for emitter swaps. I’m wondering why they weren’t popular and why nobody modded them for more power.
If I was a talented modder and I didn’t know the X70 and MF05 is coming out, I would probably buy it at $700 and swap the emitters. Would be amazing to have sustainable 15k-20k lumen output in such a small size.
I don’t think any of those fans are small enough. The smallest I saw was 60mm. For a flashlight you need much smaller, like 30mm. I didn’t see that, at least for under $45. I stopped looking after that as the sizes kept going up.
Surely somebody makes IP68 rated fans in smaller sizes, right?
I do spot some 40mm in the $55 range. That’s still pretty big.
I’ve always claimed it doesn’t favour flooders because of the Pre-diffused tube sidewalls absorbing spill/flood but people on here can’t be educated and scammers are free to scam.
About the fans, in the german video u can clearly see, it looks 30 or 40mm ? if the final will have those who knows…
What they should also do is some form of oled display or something like imalent or olight to show output etc? if just a button and its gonna glow red when low battery thats kinda weird for a light of this size…
Hello KG_Tuning, you have made your thoughts on the TA Tube abundantly and redundantly clear. Any further comments by you on this subject will only serve to stir the pot and generate arguments, so please drop the subject in all threads on this forum. Thank you.
If the same driver and emitters used in a super wide flood host and a thrower host results in about the same lumens measured in the TA tube, that clearly shows the TA tube doesn’t favor flooders or throwers. Really how difficult is that to understand? If you refuse to use reason and logic, there is no way we can help you get to the bottom of your issues.
Sorry sb56637, I was trying to give a few facts to help KG clear his misunderstanding of the TA tube but now realizes it is futile. I won’t continue this discussion further.
I just realized this light isn’t going to be like a brighter X65. I was hoping for a high lumen thrower like, “And f••• that guy in particular waaaay over there.” But looking at the reflectors it’s going to be more like an Emisar D1S is trying to escape getting eaten by an X80.
Still excited but maybe not the instabuy I thought it was going to be.
