Driver for xhp35 info needed

My atactical driver fried, reverse polarity protection failed, so now i have a host, i want an xhp35, but not sure what driver is the right one for that led, i was looking at the MTN 7135, i dont know the output of it beside it saying 10 25 50 and 100 percent, would that work?

The XHP35 is a 12 volt led. Maximum current is around 2.5 amps. If you have a single cell light you will need a boost driver.

you could try one of http://kaidomain.com/search&search=xhp35&category_id=60 - however I don’t know size of the atactical driver

If it’s the a1s, it looks like the side switch is built into the driver. You’d need another driver built like that to replace it. That’s problem number one.

Problem number two is the fact that it’s a single 18650. There isn’t a boost driver that will run a 12v LED on a 17mm board that I’ve seen yet. The KD drivers are 22mm and don’t have provisions for the switch.

Best bet is to get another atactical driver or possibly the sofirn sp32a driver. The sp32a looks pretty close to the a1s (has the switch on the driver). https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Sofirn-Flashlight-Driver-Circuit-Board-Anti-reverse-LED-Driver-Chip-SP32A-SP31-SP32/2933049_32859323105.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148356.12.444b11965vXDO4

I was going to delete the switch, and just use the end cap, i keep forgetting these xhp LEDs r a higher voltage, i got the idea from the olight warrior, i measured the round part of the driver it gave me a reading of 20mm idk if that’s the correct way to measure it?

Not a lot of good boost drivers right now, but mtnelectronics is about to release some that might work for you, if you are set on the XHP35.

If not, a FET driver and XPL will give you good output.

That was my next thought is an xpl, isn’t the latest the xpl v6?

What is the light? Yes, I would go with the XPL V6 or the XPL HI V3 if you want more throw.

Easyb- the light is a atactical smooth reflector, so I’ll probably go the v6 for wider beam
