Lumintop SD4A on Amazon. $25.99

Wow! Great price. Ordered one but wanted 2!
Always wanted this light because of battery flexibility.
So glad you made a thread for it rather than burying it in another thread.
I know some folks like their directories nice and neat but this deal deserves its own thread.

I saw these.

Have fun.

I thinks he/she referring to the deal alert thread which is specifically designed for people who want to get notifications when a new deal is posted and not see discussions.
Might post the sale link on there for folks who don’t check the “new posts” link.
Didn’t see anything in the BLF rules though.

Good deal, to bad someone didn’t find a box of the old BLF-SD10’s laying on a wearhouse shelf somewhere.

toddcshoe, I reckon ChibiM is still pressing the “issue” that was raised in that other thread. You know, the one that got locked. :person_facepalming:

Please be aware that there is only one Mod here, and that is Mr Administrator himself: sb56637. As long as you follow his rules, you’re fine. It is not necessary to adhere to the opinions of anyone else on this forum, or even to defend your posts and threads. Some of us, including myself, appreciate you posting this here. I don’t check the “big” deal threads, precisely because they are so big. I don’t buy every deal out there, so I don’t need to know about them. When I see a thread that mentions a light I’m interested in, that’s when I look deeper.

The SD4A was the “next” upgrade Lumintop did after we had a BLF Special made of their old SD10, with upgraded emitter and driver. I always wanted to get one, after I sold my BLF Special SD10, but I haven’t got one yet. So thanks for posting this deal. I may still not get one, but at least it reminds me that they’re out there when I’m ready.

Yeah, that would be really nice…

Hi everyone, this sort of deal thread with no strings attached and no commercial or monetary incentives for the OP is perfectly acceptable in the BudgetLightForum Deal Alerts category, which is where this thread was correctly placed.

It’s always been that way here on BLF, which was created so that users can freely share links to Chinese products without getting reprimanded or banned. Deals are welcomed by most members. The only thing that changed with time were these specific rules on creating and placing deals with affiliate links, which is not the case in this thread.

Thanks for posting this deal, I just wish it wasn’t USA only because I would personally buy it at that price! :money_mouth_face:

Thanks SB, so why do we still have the BLF deals thread? (sincere question)

Hey ChibiM, the idea with the deals thread is for users who want to receive an email notification when new deals are posted there. So optionally the OP could have posted this deal in that thread with a link to this other thread for further discussion (since discussions are not allowed in the big deal thread).

Gotcha. Thanks

@ toddcshoe……. Thank you for posting this here…… I would never have seen it otherwise. :+1:

This is a great deal. $10 cheaper than I could find it doing a quick search.

I got myself one & my two (great) nephews, who are a bit young for LiIon batteries; one each.

We all thank you my BLF friend!! .

If any one comes up with a complementary deal for a tube or adapter ring that would let the SD4A take 26650 cells, do tell.

Thanks sb, and maybe in the future I can maybe tame my mouth a bit. I tend to get worked up and that unfortunately may rub people the wrong way. I will try in the future to think twice and type once. LOL

Good price for a two button 4xAA. I just bought it despite I don’t need it.

I think this was on sale for a similar price sometime in the past month or so. I passed then, after much agonizing. Too soon to tell what I’m going to do this time. Probably let the clock run out…

Sooo tempting though. I just put a new emitter in my TK4a, and it reminded me of just how much I like that 4AA form factor.

Thanks Todd for posting man. I will pick up 1.

100% agree. I’m a rookie to the forum and wouldn’t have seen it on the deal alert page. Learned something new on the forum today. Thank you all. Mostly Todd.

That “post only deals and no discussion” thread is pretty cool too!
I quickly found that this forum is way too busy to sucscribe to threads automatically if you post. That’s the one thread deal-hunters should subscribe to.

I got this light because of this thread and I must say I’m impressed. All of my lights are Li-ion and I wanted an old-school light for emergencies. Nice amount of light from 4xAA. The hotspot was a little much for me, but some dc-fix from Boaz smoothed it out perfectly. Thanks again for posting this deal.

Yep… mine came too last week. I am impressed. So are the two nephews.

Hey guys, How does this compare to Nietcore EA41. Also a 4 ” AA ” soda can type of light. A little higher in price though.

Nitecore has “AA” sized tubes built directly so not MOD friendly.

Lumitop might be able to fit 26650.
