Aliexpress Dispute Advice needed.

That’s why I want just go away. Its their dishonesty and “dumb don’t understand” game they play. I can play too.

You were smarter than me. After I finally realized what was going on, I was fuming and stopped contact with them lol.

Ah yes, I’ve experienced that. They pretend to not understand to wear you down. They never ask for clarification though. They just send Hi friend! emails that say nothing useful. If you pay a tiny bit more you can find US sellers that source the same parts from the same place. I would rather pay a little more and get it faster from the US than wait for a month and have to deal with the Chinese sellers.

Curious. Every single purchase I make I am exactly charged the advertised amount, precisely reflected next to the “Confirm and Pay” button. AliPay/AliExpress handles this stuff (or so it seems) because sellers don't see a dime until you confirm the product receipt.

I always take care about this sort of stuff with what is mine, I believe in it. Could tell you an example with a more or less recent purchase in GearBest, had to spank :-D their asses.

My advice is be honest, and never lose faith. Politely and respectfully make them understand they have done wrong. For example:

Sorry for my :-D pronunciation.

Cheers ^:)

“Okay, I go paypal. They give me back money.”

Might be all it takes.

haha

you should ask aliexpress customer service , not seller, beacuse the seller did get the money, the system charge your money , you should ask aliexpress
The seller know nothing , this is the fact .
BTW, did you pay for this order by paypal ?

It may be me but from some e-mail correspondences I have had with Chinese vendors concerning “Warranties” I get the distinct feeling I am being played, and they are using our language barriers to their advantage. They have been in the commerce game for dynasties.
Why, dear Lord can’t they take an actual size picture of a flashlight in the hand, rather than some photoshopped monstrosity twice the size of the actual light. I would not change in the slightest the Chinese valiant attempts in mimicking the English Language. Who hasn’t chuckled reading the translations. Couldn’t they just have someone proofread their adds? Really? How hard could that be. Hell they could call me. But in the end all these uneasy feelings about Chinese flashlight producers fade away when I feel how smoothly and effortlessly the end cap tightens down on my, excellently machined and finished Klarus with a perfectly manufactured reflector and a crisp powerful beam of pure light. A tool of Kings.
So I move on to our next Chinese flashlight purchase, with my PayPal account and my fingers crossed, whispering to myself a small prayer that Trumps Tariffs won’t put an end to the cheap Chinese flashlight thing. Dang.

no, this is not seller problem, it is system problem
I guess he should use paypal, paypal will charge more

When I first started buying a few things on Ali, I used paypal where I could, I paid more but I was buying insurance (paypal) to cover me.
Everything went smooth as silk, got a few items within 2 weeks of ordering. Shipping e-packet like the DPS5015 from RD Tech, they shipped it out the same day as I ordered. I was taking a liking to this china ebay site. Ordered some more stuff and all of a sudden this happened.
.
Yeah, I don’t believe it was the sellers fault but Ali systems fault. When the item was setting in my cart the price was clearly $8.64 and I had no idea what was about to happen. I hit buy now button and payed using my bank card info. In that instant a screen shot was took by Ali system and had a paid new price of $12.34. I thought what happened, went to my orders and looked it up, yelp it charged me $12.34 and the process of all this began. If I had just stuck with paying using paypal, I would have already got my money back. But I felt like there was no need seeing how all my other transactions had went so well and I kept hearing about how good their not happy return or refund policy was. I was wrong in thinking that. At least maybe This info might be useful to others who are considering buying from Ali.
.
I will update on how this ends up. Right now it’s still back and fourth. :person_facepalming:

I agree with your suspicion that a sale was ending and starting again. That in itself is a pain the ass. Everything is always on sale and the sale is forever ending soon. Pff.

moderator007, you can cancel an order for as long as the item has not yet been shipped. Done it at least a handful of times within up to a few hours from ordering without problems.

:-)

Yeah, though to clarify: “shipped” is different from “marked as shipped”. It happened to me that I requested cancellation and it was rejected with “we just shipped, here’s the tracking number”.

The system definitely plays a role, whether it is buggy, or designed in a way that facilitates seller errors.

I’m not the greatest at math, but during the AX anniversary sale earlier this year, I did notice that the math on a sale price didn’t add up, checked it, and it didn’t. Whether it was due to a system calculation error, or an error in a manually-entered seller price I don’t know, but it wasn’t correct.

I make it a point to capture the item, cart, checkout and order pages for every online transaction for my own record, so at least I have a leg to stand on if a dispute arises.

Not advocating paranoia, just caution.

I guess I should have ask for advice a little earlier on then Barkuti, item has already been delivered. :person_facepalming:

That’s exactly what they told me when I first started this dispute.

I usually take a screen shot of my order receipt after the purchase. This time the price had already changed and Ali does have that screen shot but that’s not helping my case I guess. That wasn’t the price when I agreed to the cart price of $8.64 with the press of the buy now button. :person_facepalming:

Well Ali ruled in the sellers favor. I don’t see how but they did. I don’t even think they read the messages back and fourth. With their system when you file a dispute you only have a few choices as to why your filing. No option for you overcharged me. If they had read my messages and looked at the sellers price they would have clearly seen they overcharged me. So shame on Ali.
So I get overcharged and nothing was done about it, not to happy with Ali.
I feel that the seller was just as much to blame as Ali. All Mang-Tools Store had to do was tell Ali “yeah his right, the item was on sale for $8.64”.
But instead they act dumb and said “We don’t understand what you mean”. :person_facepalming:
.
Learned a valuable lesson from dealing with Mango-Tools Store and Aliexpress. :frowning:

moderator007, first of all don't get me wrong this is not meant to judge you, just to help a bit.

I believe the main thing for you to learn here is to pay careful attention to everything before hitting a “buy now” button. And of course to have a taste of communicating in english with people which does not speaks it natively.

I do no longer get frustrated with things and situations which probably made me feel that way in the past (I allowed it to happen). I can now look at it from a different perspective.

Cheers :-)
