BLF Interest list for Very High Current Beryllium Copper springs Pt1(ENDED)

Nothing yet, but I am expecting them to show up any day now.

If the offer still stands i would be in for 20 big springs and 10 small (if shipping is not to much)

I’ve been a little absent looks like everything worked out!

So if I understand it’s 30 cents per small spring + 5% for paypal for US orders?
If so bump my order up to 16 springs and inbox me when you have the time. :+1:

I wonder if it’s too late to ask for 10 of these springs? I’m about to take the leap into modding my first flashlight! Thanks so much.

All 2000 big springs have been sold. There are still some small springs available.

Is there a second batch planned anytime?

Probably after I sell both the 1st batch big and small springs.

I will also tweak the design for slightly higher current using slightly thicker wire at 1,1mm, and a better coating, probably gold if we can afford it.

The main difference would that I would make a 5000pcs batch instead of a 2000pcs batch since I have a battery holder project in the works that could be amazing!

Hey Matt? Will it help to gain electrical conductivity in replacing that spring when the ground is still the long steel contact slider? It only makes surface contact on the outside of that pillar, gotta be losing a lot there. I know it is as I just built up a triple in a chopped 1D and am not impressed with the result, even bypassing that center spring, pretty sure if I rig a bypass around that ground it’ll do a LOT better…

Yes, bypassing that little strip would also help. Part of the reason I want to get the springs is also because under 8 amp continuous load sometimes the factory ones loose their spring. The internal switch contacts seem to hold up better than it. In the fully assembled lights I sell I always wire bypass it but that gets tiresome quick

@ DB Custom & vestureofblood……. Have either of you received your springs yet??

TA’s were delivered to him 8 days ago. I have nothing yet & wondered if it was just me.

All 4 of our springs were shipped at the same time and although a few hundred miles apart for some of us, we are all in the same area of the USA.

Just curious & hoping my springs were not eaten by a wild hog…

I installed one of these springs in an SC26 the other day but since it uses a boost driver all I can really report is that it solders fine and held up to the moderate power fine.

Have not had time to mess with the MT09R yet.

I haven’t seen my springs yet, was thinking maybe today? I’m only a 2 hour drive from TA, seems odd that the packages are so far apart…

It is strange indeed, I was really surprised when mine showed up so fast, I did not expect them until about next week to be honest.

Mine are not here yet. Not worried at this point though. For me to mail a letter to a town 30 miles away, often that letter goes clear to St Louis. (passing thought that town on the way) and then back.

Alright gentlemen, thank you for the info. I just wanted to make sure I was not odd man out.

Yours does indeed seem very “odd” ‘DB’ since you are only 2 hours from TA…. VOB & mine are slightly less “odd”.

Maybe USPS reverted to Pony Express for ours.

@AFS, I saw your request for your springs. I’ll try to do a drawing for it Sunday.

Also, I really hope you all receive your springs in due time, especially since TA already received them.

I also took all pictures of the packages, and the shipping labels correspond perfectly with the addresses you all gave me.

Not doubting you at all BSM. . It is just weird that TA got his over a week ago & the rest of us have nothing. Just goes to show the inconsistencies that can occur with shipping & receiving…… With no apparent rhyme or reason considering they were apparently all shipped at the same time on the same day.

Look forward to the drawing. +1 for what Teacher said. I don’t think anyone is doubting you sent them etc. The fact that you still show up to the thread is evidence enough for me

For me, things usually go to Dallas TX and then straight by here to Austin, TX and back to me. I’m about in the middle between Austin and Dallas (actually about a third of the way, closer to Austin…60 miles to Aus and 120 to D/FW) but the big trucks carry things between hubs then smaller trucks carry things to the towns. So it would be fairly normal for there to be a day or two difference once something hit’s Dallas and then to get here. A week? That’s odd. But then, this is the USPS we’re talking about and I’ve seen things ship to Florida then back to Dallas then to Austin and to me, when Florida was 1000 miles out of the line. Go figure.

Edit: To clarify on that, I’ve seen a package go from Illinois to Dallas, then to Florida, then back to Dallas, then to Austin and then to me. A machine read the zip code wrong. Happens all the time. With all the Automated stuff these days a smudge or bit of dirt and zoom! Off to the races…
