Nitecore EA41 or Lumintop SD4A, which one to buy?

Thanks saypat for the video, will have a good look at it tonight and thanks everyone for the feedback, very helpful. Looking forward to a 4AA light. I have the 8AA EA81 and really, really like it, so getting a smaller one with four AA's is just what I want for my collection.

Looks and sounds like a winner. The only reason I picked up the SD4A was Amazon had it on sale for $25 and some change. I might grab that SF11 too. Hard to pass up for $20.

Thanks for the link BlueSwordM!!!

About the same here…. But I am gonna find $20 impossible to pass up for the SF11. :person_facepalming: …

I have the sf11 and really like it, it also has the direct access to moon

I think Lumintop is better, more modes, lock out, but price is twice. You had a very good price !

Robert

Yes, I got lucky. Just so happen to be searching Amazon at the right moment. Think they sold out at that price pretty fast. Don’t know how many BLF’ers got in on it. That Thrunite looks nice too, a bit too rich for my blood but, I would grab one for the right price.

That was the one at Aliexpress and already have it in my cart waiting for the sale price!

That’s a good idea!! Thanks for the tip. . :+1:

$25 is a real bargain for the SD4A. Cheapest I could find today was $35.90 as a next week sale price on Aliexpress.

Not 100% sure, but I think by adding it to the cart, we get the sale price as well as not losing out if it sells out

Have they corrected the problems from the earlier versions of the SF11? These were around mid 2017.

What problems did they have?

troubles start being reported one 1st page of this thread: Special code for BLF from Sofirn. New arrivals— C8A 2 light group and max up to 1747 lumens.

Thanks. Read the whole thread and should be fine as the SF11 is being sold at their official store on Ali.

The MK41 is a nice looking light but a little pricey. It looks like it's all throw and was looking for flood and throw.

And the moonlight is adjustable from 0.1 to 5 lm, the turbo is also adjustable.

Robert

I did not find a 4 X AA flashlight that is not a thrower.

I put DC-Fix on mine

Robert

Personally, if I were to mod the light, I would either be putting in a Samsung LH351D 90CRI for more flood, slightly more regulated runtime, and way way better color quality or a Nichia 219C if the other one was not available.

I couldn't find a 4 X AA that wasn't a thrower either. Then I might as go with the cheapest one which is the SF11. Still looks like a great little light.
