Enogear AA Stainless Steel (AA/14500)

The two NW I tried looks about 4000k to me but it has no yellow unlike what you see in that beamshot above. The tint is about 5D, which to me is a major selling point because I like NW without any yellow or green. You should give it a try it is very beautiful. I like it more than the CW version that I have.

After checking Toykeeper's tint chart, I will agree on the 5D assessment.

The Enogear AA/14500 flashlight, IMHO, is unique and a true collectible - and truly not that expensive for what you get. The only downside may be the wait. My first order took 48 days. But I have actually waited longer (i.e., 51 days) for goods purchased from BangGood.

Mine took 8 weeks. It is so pretty I don’t want to carry it and scratch it up .

Yes its about a 5D. I took a comparing picture.

D25c 219b sw40, reylight 3000k sst-20, enogear stock, enogear 7A xpg2, s mini 5D xml2.

My SS enogears do both work with 14500s btw. Only one worked with a standard flat top 14500. The other one needs a solderblob to work.

Ooh, that SST-20 looks very nice. :+1:

Yesterday (August 30) received a message from Jackie as well, it would be shipped the 30th and will take approx 15-30 day delivery.

That’s a great comparison. I didn’t realize the 219b sw40 is that rosy? I thought only the sw45 was. I’m guessing that’s 9080 right? It makes everything else look yellower than they appear in real life. The stock enogear NW looks rosy in real life but looks yellowish in your beam shot. Where did you get the 5D xml2? Is it 90CRI? It looks great.

The camera is exaggerating the collors, but they are there. Below I turned the tones down a bit to come closer to what I see irl.

That xml2 is a 80+ cri, but I think it’s a real tint lottery winner, just a perfect tint. Never going to swap that one out.

219b is a 9080, to be honest I find them a bit boring. And the latest batch of sw45 were to cold and violet for me. So I am glad to see new emitters lately with great tints and cri.

I didn't get an email confirmation on my first order either, but received it OK. If you create an account on Enogear.com before ordering, a history of your orders is listed therein, and you can be assured that your order is in the system. But before you order, make sure you are logged-in.

Reference my previous post, Jackie answered my email and said that he was glad that I liked the SS AA/14500 flashlights. He also told me to keep the extra flashlight as a gift. This makes me believe that I was sent the extra flashlight by mistake. I hope it wasn't someone else's order.

He also conspicuously didn't answer my question about the compatibility of the SS AA/14500 with 14500 batteries. However, I have been running a 14500 battery in one of my SS AA/14500 flashlights for about a week now without any problems. I would bet that orders going forward for quite-some-time are probably compatible since the product page boldly says so.

I liked mine quite alot. Unfortunately it died within a couple months with very little use. Not sure what I will do with it now. :frowning: I emailed Enogear very fast response and they are going to mail out a new head : )

Thanks for the IRL pic, Geuzzz. The NW Enogear looks much more pleasing than the yellowish tint in the other picture. Based on your pic and other comments, I ordered one in NW.

Marnav1, this light has a 1 year QA warranty. I’d contact them about the problem to see what they can do.

You’re welcome. You won’t be disappointed by the tint. Please let us know when it’s there.

Just shipped and got a tracking number. Might be bday present not xmas

Would it be possible for you to compare it with other lights (or a 18650 battery), just to have a notion of the size they have?
Thanks in advance!

Hope this helps….

Does anyone know how to remove the driver from the head?

Tint looks a little like a 5c. does anyone have the on the road m3 5c NW and the nw enogear SS light ?

i looked really hard at this light when Enogear first popped up on the scene the AA nw SS is really my cup of tea ..But low PWM is a deal breaker . I've only looked at this light 1000 times :P
