They are great. My former employer allowed me to keep Dell E5440 when it was replaced, less the hard drive they wanted back. Wacked an SSD in, loaded Win10 and it runs like a dream.
A DQG Tiny 18650 4th edition. It’s the grey color in a neutral tint. Nice to own the world’s smallest 1x18650 light; and I’m using an Orbtronic flat top 3500 cell. I measured mine at 24.6mm x 88.50mm.
Went to the thrift store and couldn’t resist this for $1.49:
Never had an alkaline leak in it, the switch works, and :exclamation: the bulb wasn’t even burned out. Threw in a couple of C cells, and it turned right on.
Now I gotta figure out how to put a Yuji 95 CRI 3200K LED in it.
Got a Enova GYRFALCON ALL-88 8 bay charger today. Charging 8 Samsung 30Q’s at 1 amp, it draws 3.96 amps from my homemade power supply. So far it seems to be working perfectly. The included power supply is rated at 4 amps. Not much headroom IMO. My home made supply can handle 5 amps continuous.
They didn’t both come today, but with twins, I waited until I had them both to pass them on.
Personally, I prefer the Convoy S9, mostly because of its size, even though it has long-press for off. But, my daughters loved the moonlight mode on the Sofirn SP30A, so I might end up with the S9 anyway, after I order another SP30A.
All these MOLLE system bags, pouches, etc., are pretty kewl. Even if you don’t plan on using them to lego onto a backpack or anything, some of these pouches are the perfect size for multimeters, etc., and have the “loops” on the inside for the probes, pockets for space batteries or other accoutrements, and so on.
Right now, my sling-bag has a SP32Av2 in a holster on one side, my regular pouch for phone, keys, etc., on the other, umbrella in the “shoelace” area on the front flap, and today I got a coupla “waist bags” (more small pouches) that I just snapped onto the front to carry some goodies I picked up at lunch today.
I’d snap a pic of it, but unless I do it under bright sunlight, black on black on black won’t show up very well.
I feel like Johnny Cash…
Still waiting for a bunch more from AX, so the “wallet” thingy and other doodads are still somewhere on the tarmac in Bok Choi or wherever.
I finally upgraded from my well used Petzl Alveo to this super sweet white KASK. It’s pretty much the gold standard of arborist / climbing head protection that all others are measured against. Got it on a below MAP sale from treestuff.com!
