Imalent quality is famous. Despite that there are many who love the light and 160 lm/$ is good.
It’s more like 60-120 lumen/dollar.
Not sure Imalent quality is really that bad but my DT35 build quality is as good as Fenix, Olight and Lumintop, definitely better than Haikelite, Sofirn. DX80 is having higher failure rate mostly due to extremely high power and maybe design flaw that needs more care for example make sure all contact are clean before using it. Banggood shows there were 300+ orders for DX80, this could be why Imalent made quite some money and willing to pursue more. Most other brands except Acebeam are not interested to compete with Imalent. Good to see MS12 and R90C. Just to state my view on Imalent.
I agree, my DX80 and even the years old DDT40 have been working fine. They definitely compare well to Fenix based on the various models I have up to the TK75. The performance, look and feel are definitely a step above HL from what I’ve seen of the MT03 and SC26 I’ve gotten. The MT03 underperformed from the start due to a design error and both have fins sharp enough up cut.

Not sure exactly - probably have something to do with local dealers in those countries. IIRC Xiaomi Yi cameras were not even possible to order to certain countries which had local distributors (at higher margin of course…)
