ALL THINGS BUDGET KNIVES

Can anybody post real life weight for Sanrenmu 7096

The weight on the site you gave sounds pretty accurate for an all-steel knife of this size:

Net Weight: 104g (3.66oz)

Thank you

are there any good nonlocking folders on the asian market atm? especially with better steels than 8cr or 420?

Kizer Vagnino Zipslip slipjoint with S35VN blade and titanium handle is good enough?

Why don’t you add a link to your “Anso Monte Carlo style titanium ”slip joint” with S35VN blade”?
A bit more in the budget range of knives, even though I’d prefer one with a 7-8 cm blade, maybe full flat clip point.

Well thanks i like the Fura one, but it a bit small. Pricewise im looking in the budget range.

I wish the Fura “Monte Carlo” was bigger too.
The HX Outdoors Bastardhalibut is still available on Aliexpress here. It’s a decent sized folder with D2 blade and a tricky “fixed blade” conversion.

What is your budget max?

I finished my review about the Fura Gear “Slimfoot” flipper:

SOLD I just wanted to give this forum a heads-up that I am selling my Boker Kwaiken clone, and you can see it here: SOLD FS: Boker Kwaiken Clone - SOLD SOLD

Hi guys. Wich folder knive like you more: CH 3001 g10 or ganzo fh11?.

And why.

Regards!.

Sanrenmu will be releasing titanium knifes with VG10 steel in the near future. (insider info) :crown:
Although they are already using 14C28N which is almost the same steel.

Hopefully those will make their way to the Chinese market so we can get them for a decent price.
So far, all the Ti Sanrenmu have only been available to the Western market, using lower steels and have been therefore overpriced.
A Ti 910 with 14C28N at around $40 would be sweet… at least one can hope

For me whether this is good news or not depends on availability.

Most of the new(ish) Sanrenmu models which I am interested in - I simply can’t find them via the usual channels (Gearbest, Fasttech, Exduct etc).

I don’t want to buy from an expensive German store because the price includes VAT, sometimes shipping can be €10 per item…

For example Land 910 Ti is like €80 shipped from Germany. It’s nice but not that nice. Its not like 5x nicer than my €15 9103 from GB. Pretty sure the blade and much of the hardware are identical!

This is the downside of Sanrenmu trying to make their brand more upmarket. It seems they are not willing to provide knives to the stores (and thus customers!) which helped them become so popular in past 10 years. Buying cheap 710 from China is the reason why 90% of people know about Sanrenmu.

It should be available on the official Sanrenmu store on aliexpress, so it should be rather cheap but titanium is a luxury material and not better than steel or G10 handle. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/4400046?spm=2114.10010108.0.0.47ab736cb3PIZa

Look at this cute pendant knife  http://www.sanrenmu.com/product/6155/
They are also making pens http://www.sanrenmu.com/product-category/products/zhanshubi/

Thinking of getting a Sanrenmu 9015 as my first folding knife.

Any other knives that I should look out for, budget is upto 50-60$. Just need a cool loooking knife for rare use.

CRKT Swindle

$36

The problem with the $50/$60 range is that there’s too many to choose from
In this price range I would definitely look at the CH brand, there’s plenty to choose from below $60.
Here’s a LINK that I created that shows the ones carried by Fasttech (usually cheaper than other places).
If you can stretch your budget by $10, I would get the CH3504 , Anodizes titanium, S35VN steel and definitely the cool factor with the milled skull. Hard to find better for the price.
