(prototype) the GT Mini

:+1:

Yep… told you it would work out. . :+1: :+1:

I think I need a new head too, think Neal can help me with that? Mine’s damaged…

Oh, we’re talking about flashlights aren’t we? :stuck_out_tongue:

Go to Ebay, you can find a new head there.

Take your pick my friend…

I might should choose the aluminum one, rough as I am on a head…

PS: Also because I’m a little soured on the whole beheading thing.

Just reviewing the GT mini for youtube, first thing I’ve noticed is my GT has strobes from default. Nice light tbh, the aluminium is very very soft though.

Excellent choice IMO…… :+1: … :beer::wink:

They all do. I think Lumintop used a slightly different version of NarsilM than they were supposed to. Still v1.3.

3 valves per cylinder? The hell? Where is that head from?

Finally caving in and ordering a GT mini… question is, who has the best deal and fastest shipping?

I really don’t know… it was just a ‘stock picture’ with no info.

4 valves/cylinder-engine_hyundai_trajet_2.0_16v_136_hp

3 valve is pretty common. A lot of Ford 4.6 and 5.4 have them. No big whoop.

3V Cylinder Head Bare 2.190/1.650” Valve 225 Cc Intake - 60 Cc Chamber - Ford Cleveland/Modified
Brand Name: CYLINDER HEAD INNOVATIONS

Part Number: SBF3V225B-60

Description:

The all new 3V 225cc cylinder heads replace the older 218cc heads and are suited for use on competition and serious street engines of 400+ cubic inches in size and making up to and in excess of 650+hp. The new 225cc feature the same minimum cross section (2.4) as the 218cc intake ports are designed to deliver maximum power and torque, for those people not concerned by RPM limitations, but rather wanting to make the most possible torque and horsepower for their competition to wild street power plants.

Oh yeah, $852 each and of course it takes two. :stuck_out_tongue:

That’s not a Ford head 100% for sure. Atleast not from a modern 3-valve 4.6L/5.4L. For one the valve arrangement is wrong (Ford heads have the single exhaust valve centered), plus if we were to say just for s&g’s thay maybe those were aftermarket Ford heads with non-factory valve geometry we’d still be able to prove that wrong as the intake ports are no where near correct. Not only would the ports not line up but the two decks (head to intake manifold) wouldn’t meet up at all on those things.

I’ll bet money those arnt Ford 3v heads. Hell it could even be an i4 head off who knows what.

I google searched by the stamped in coding, and it came back as a Ford head. A custom racing Ford head.

Neither your money loss nor Teacher’s best intent helps me much though, and it was his offering of 3 choices to help me that got all this started. Best intentions and all that…

Oh crap, I had opened this page awhile before you posted that and just had a minute to type my response…

Turns out we’re both correct! They’re 3v heads for an OLD Ford motor such as the 351 Cleveland which was originally a 2v engine. Not modern 4.6 / 5.4 3v heads at all.

Betting money they aren’t Ford heads lightens your wallet some, huh?

I did specify in the post I was sure they wernt modern 3 valve 4.6 / 5.4 heads. We have several in our fleet I’m responsible for and unfortunately I’ve had to have heads off them more times than I care to count (this isn’t faulting the engine family, just the Mexicans that work for my boss).

Other than their existence I know nothing of the old stuff. The 351c went out of production 5 years before my time lol.
