18650.UK - UK Retail and Wholesale of Batteries and Chargers

Hello All,

Ive been quietly aware of the forum for around a year but owing to other business commitments, ive been unable to get on here and put something meaningful together!

I was recently contacted by a forum member asking for a discount/coupon code for the 18650.UK retail site, which is now live. Its BLF10 and will give 10% off all products not already on sale. The original thread can be found here

A little bit of background - 18650.UK is primarily a wholesale distributor. Whilst we do have a retail website, the majority of our business/my time is taken up with sourcing, supplying for and consulting on electric vehicles, Motorsport prototyping, military/aerospace and the ebike/personal transport industry. Because of this, we have a pretty good handle on global cell movement and can normally track pretty much anything down if theres enough demand to make is economically viable for everyone.

Its probably worth mentioning that we are one of only two fully EU/UK compliant businesses in the EU at the moment. Full details of the regulations in your country can be found on the EU Battery Directive website. Details specifically surround UK supply can be found in our blog here Its tailored towards the vaping industry, but is relevant to all “bare cell” sales to end users, so anything from OE manufacturers that isn’t rewrapped.

What we hadn’t anticipated, is the demand for good quality cells for torches and lasers, particularly those already in the UK without the hassle of global shipping, customs and the dreaded counterfeits.

While i look to source the cells mentioned in the thread that sparked all of this off above, dont hesitate to get in touch below, direct, or via hello@18650.uk if you need any further information from us

(I’ve noticed there’s some variance in mentions of our domain. Dont panic, both 18650.co.uk and 18650.uk will get you to the same place!)

Thanks for the coupon! I’ve only ordered from your store once (a pair of Vapcell branded Samsung 30Ts) and can vouch for the authenticity. They came in a nice little pouch as well.

:+1:

Welcome.

I will probably order a few cells soon.

EV traction batteries…. Hmmmm. I’ve been driving a Nissan LEAF since 2014. Do you sell batteries for DIY conversions? I’m not about to attempt converting a car but I occasionally come across people looking for parts on EV forums.

Thank you for the welcome!

We can source almost any cell required. The range of cells being used by our clients is broad, because we cover everything from small scale DIY projects and ebikes, through prototyping of road vehicles, right up to and including Formula E and TT Zero. TT Zero favour the VTC6 (based on the 30A discharge rating providing sub 80’C pack cell temperature can be maintained) We also have a company restoring and then converting classic mini’s to EV, using the Samsung 25R.

We’ll always do our best to accommodate clients needs and if we cant, we can normally point them to someone who can!
