Forgot how long to receive a light from China

I ordered a Convoy C8+ On Sept 2, it reached “acceptance” in China on Sept 11, Processed Through Facility ZHENGZHOU EMS, CHINA the next day, and has been in this status since:

Origin Post is Preparing Shipment
We have received notice that the originating post is preparing to dispatch this mail piece.

Today is Sept 16 and my flashlight is still in China.

I have to remind myself that in the good old days as a child (mid ’60’s) it took 4-6 week for a toy to arrive.

Come back in a month…

I’m expecting my gt mini (from Banggood) to arrive this week, I ordered it as a b-day gift to myself (AUG2), it was marked shipped by BG on AUG4, on AUG6 it was marked AS “Processed Through Facility,
SHENZHEN EMS, CHINA”. Didn’t have another scan till it was processed at the Chicago ISC on SETP13.

You’ve got to get that patients game up grasshopper.

OMGosh! I might as well forget about it until something like October 20. :person_facepalming:

Yeh, the Moon Festival or sumpin like that is coming up pretty soon…then the Holiday shut downs… I remember Old Lumens himself stated he wouldn’t order anything from “over there” come October through Chinese New Years.

Ummmm, “Moon Festival”??

Yikes!! Bad Moon Rising…………

regular mail from china can take forever to some regions sometimes.

My received deliveries vary from 6 to 175 days, with an average of 73.4 days, but I believe nearly all the delay is on this end, between customs and the SA postal service.

Still waiting for 2 items ordered in June that cleared customs in August, and 4 sent in July, of which only 1 is reported as having arrived in the country.

The record for me is almost 4 months China to California. I ordered two of the Zanflare AAA lights, one from Zanbase and one from Gearbest. They showed up about a week apart almost 4 months after I ordered them. Neither package had tracking so I don’t know where the delay was.

It depends on where you are, who you ordered from, how it was shipped, and how the stars line up.

Last week I received 4 different orders all placed separately early June ,so thats 4 months about what I have come to expect from the South African postal system.A few orders still outstanding from June so could be around 5 months wait on them.

I ordered 4 Samsung 30Q button tops on August 26th from Banggood. Got them today. That’s 22 days, not bad.

Here in Australia.
It’s “usually” around 4 to 5 weeks. Eventually some get “lost” but they usually replace them.
I have 2 x “replacements, plus another 3 items in mail now.
A couple ”MAY” front up this week. Maybe.

When you look at the price we pay here compared to there. Even if you buy the cheap, cheap items.
It’s worth it. for the amount of use they going to get.

Free freight. and I always buy 2 x of anything cheap, as, usually something in one of them (lights)
will let you down. Light end or sw end. But second one covers it, with spares.
Convoy. Jetbeam, Astrolux, BLF etc, Usually reliable and of acceptable quality.
I tend to stick with them now.

It will remain in that status until it gets thru customs in the US, if in stock approx 4/5 weeks then things speed up and you can track it sometimes. All the ones so far this yr took 6 weeks. The one not in stock took 9 wks. Pic a day once a week to check its status and try to forget about it or your days will increase in time and suffering.

Most of my orders from the convoy store take about 3.5 weeks to get to the US. Once there customs does what they do and it has taken just a few days to 4 extra weeks to get their head removed and send the light to me.

My latest order from the Convoy store on Aliexpress only took 17 days to ship from China and be delivered in the midwest.

Im in the UK.

Had long and short delivery times, longest so far 7 weeks and counting for Litokala 26650s.

Got an Astrolux K1 from Taiwan through Aliexpress in 5 days.

I’ve got a package that fell into a black hole in Illinois. DHL ecommerce tracking states it was turned over to DSP 4 days ago. USPS tracking says awaiting package.

My suspicion is it may be at customs, as there hasn’t appeared to be any time at customs up until now. Odd that it wasn’t at the point of entry.

Wow I never knew first world countries had customs problems. I always thought it was only me living in a 3rd world shithole that had to endure slow customs clearance
