(prototype) the GT Mini

No problem, I was just confused.:wink:
You’ve forgot more than I know… your entitled to a minor ‘slip up’ now & then. :stuck_out_tongue::wink:

Not necessarily. You can ramp it up or down and then turn it off while it’s flashing the 1 or 2 blinks and it will turn the side switch off temporarily.

Some people have thought the switch light is supposed to be on all the time regardless of the main light being on or off. I was just making sure illuminos knew that it doesn’t stay on all the time. I’m wondering if his side light turns on or off or flickers by itself without him touching the switch.

Ok…. but it should stay on when the light is off & the ‘special circumstances’ you mentioned or ‘voodoo’ have not been activated or employed… correct?? .

And if anyone thought it stayed lit whether the light was on or off…… :person_facepalming:

Yes. You can also turn the switch light off in the menu. Someone even said their switch light suddenly started staying off and thought it broke, but a factory reset turned it back on. That was an odd case. I’m just waiting to hear what illuminos is doing.

Some people don’t know. This was common when the Q8 came out. It still surprises some people who have never seen a video of a Q8 or GT or GT Mini.

I rig up my Narsil lights to keep the side switch lights on all the time. I hope I’m not confusing anybody who watches my videos.

Yea, it either flickers or is completely off when it should be on.

That’s how mine started, it would either flicker, dim & fade out, and/or be off when it should be on.
Then the switch itself stopped responding at times, much of the time; when clicked.

Banggood

/\ …. Thanks X3, list updated. :+1:

I’m still waiting for mine to arrive. Bought it from BG. Let’s hope it doesn’t have any problems…

Sounds like a driver related problem. You should see about a replacement if this is not acceptable to you.

Seeing as they are probably up to 500 plus units sold, only 10-15 seem to have issues. Overall that’s not too bad a ratio. Like 3%.

When my mother had knee replacement surgery—They assured her only 1 in 100000 had infection problems—very low percentage—Low and Behold hers got a bone infection—It really SUCKS when you are that percentile—— :person_facepalming: :person_facepalming:

Darn… hope she recovered OK. And your right…… it does suck when “you” are the percentile.

Saw the Tigers pull out another one…. good luck this coming week.

Hopefully we will keep the ‘big head’ at bay & continue the course to #18.

Yeah, I know…
……. It is waaayyyy to early to mention that, but I just couldn’t resist.

I have a feeling Monday & Tuesday were long hard “days of learning” spent on Thomas Field, for several players in Tuscaloosa this week. .

still way too many imo… i bet over time there will be more.

Too many problems in GB first the haikelite fiasko with lies etc and now this light, cant say im too happy…now the damn wait for replacement head which i hope will arrive…

I just want lights that work without issues its not like we buying cheap ebay 2$ ultrafire lights.

I was told anything under 10% is considered acceptable. So right now the current lights can be fixed without much problem.

“They” must have got their zeros wrong. Officially it’s more like 1 in 100. I worked in radiology for a few years, and especially with ortho surgeons. Infection can occur up to around two years after the surgery too, but the percentage goes way down.

Can someone confirm my suspicion on the tint of my two lights for me? I ordered two NW but believe I received one CW. I guess I hadn’t compared them side by side until now and it’s pretty obvious to me but I’m just looking for some confirmation from the professionals. What say you?

Sorry for the crappy pics. I don’t own a professional camera.

Geez, thanks Robert… one more thing to worry about. Would a ti plate with 6 screws on my spine qualify for that or is more related to joint replacement issues?

I am interested in what Robert says because it sounds like he knows, but what from what I have been told; that applies mainly to joint.
I think your neck is safe….
.

For what the pictures show, I do not see a big difference in colour temperature, they may well both be neutral white, but there is certainly a tint difference. Tints within one batch of leds can differ a lot if not a tight tint bin is ordered by the flashlight manufacturer (ususally that is not the case so I’m not surprised).
