CR123A flashlight recommendations..

I seem to have a ton of CR123A cells I would like to use up.

I like a tiny light, and I’m tired of AAA alkalines leaking.
This is for lights that sit by the bed, or in the car, they won’t get used much.

I would like it to have at least 3 levels, starting with the lowest, example 1 3 10 30 100 300 lumens would be ideal
I don;t care if it has mode memory or not, or blinkies ( as long as they can be avoided ).
I would like a side switch, if only to make it shorter. Definitely not a twisty.

I don’t care if it also accepts 16340 or not.
I would also like cost to be under $20.

Forgive me if similar posts have been made in the past… please, I tried to research it, maybe what I want just isn;t out there.

If one of my parameters has to be given up, tell me what that is.
If it has to give up 2 or more, then I can already find those lights (O lights, On the road m3)

The Jetbeam Jet II MK is $24 at Fasttech: https://www.fasttech.com/product/5969000

It is very compact but that is because it has a twist switch. A little over budget but you are getting namebrand quality.

Have you considered using batteries that don’t leak in your AAA lights? Eneloops are wonderful.

edit: Sorry missed the twisty part. Good luck getting an e-switch light for under $30 let alone $20. Fasttech has plenty in the $30-$40 range and a few On The Roads in the $20-$30 range.

The e-switch request seems a little strange for a low-use light running primaries. The parasitic drain can leave you in the dark when the light is finally used.

Utorch s1, if you don’t mind the floody beam. There is a deal around for 15 bucks.

On The Road M3?

too spensive for what i want to do with it.

Gotcha.

JetBeam II PRO

can’t find $15 deal for olight s1

Edit: It is definitely above your $20 price range, but an idea for the future.

To this day, I still always carry my Sunwayman V10R that I modded with a neutral white XPL HI (was early generation XPG cool-white stock). I love it, and it’s perfect for me. Definitely look into it as the only “modes” are the brightness increasing or decreasing as you move the variable output ring on the head. The low is insanely low as well.

correct, it was not an Olight it was a Utorch , use code GBxHou025

There is a sale on the Olight S1 Mini for $35… use code blacknovember for 30% off. That code works for other lights on that site also, such as the S Mini, including in Titanium or in Copper

another CR123 option
Klarus Mi1C High CRI

me too, and I would like it to be High CRI

You can get the little Utorch 16340 light, which also runs pretty well on a CR123A.
Or at leat, mine does, because i put a lower Vf LED in it.
(and a TIR optic)
It’s not expensive, although a little over 15$

yes:

it does not need to be modified, it works with CR123 as is

even with shipping it costs less that wle’s wish price of $20 or less

and I really like the stock lens, it is very very good for close range, only
and makes a fantastic HatLight, much better than a TIR or a Reflector, for arms length use

If you have $5.19 left over these are fun: ThorFire KL02 Taschendrehschalter LED Mini-Schlüsselanhänger-Taschenlampe CR123A Sale - Banggood Deutschland sold out-arrival notice-arrival notice

Single level, not a bad tint, since you have CR123 there’s no worry about over-discharging the cell.

i have one of those actually , got it free somehow
too floody
it;s a really good light otherwise though
super tiny

there are other under-$6 lights too that use cr123a or 16340 and have a twisty switch and a TIR focuser that i do like
maybe i will get another one of those or start using the one i already have
thx for reminding me

and the fact that it has no cell protection is a plus, since as you say, it will run the cr123a down all the way

If you ever would consider spending a little more, I too would recommend olight mini lights. I’ve had 7 of them over the years that I edc (I always seem to buy the newest when it’s released). As I swap out my old ones, they go either to the kids to play with or are placed throughout the house for emergencies. The magnets help a lot because I usually place them on some piece of metal in the room that’s higher than the kids can reach so that I know I won’t loose them.

Otroad m3 was on sale recently for 17$

I would look at the Fitorch ER16. It will take 18350’s along with cr123’s. It doesn’t say it in the description but 18350 fits. Just makes it more versitle. 1000 lumens and usually on sale for $25.99 @ gearbest. Look on the Gearbest deals on this forum if it is not on sale and you can get a code there. Uses an XP-L2 emitter.

I can highly recommend the OTR m3
Great tint, great build and great beam profile.
A steal for the money I edc mine allot over more expensive units i have.

You can get S1 mini now for 12.99
