Sofirn C8F host. 21700 C8F Available

Yes, I did gather all that information, reflowing emiters onto the MCPCB would defo be quite challenging so it might not be stupid to ask someone for help with this later.
May I ask what drivers did you get for this build?

I apologize. At full 18650 1500Lm almost does not differ from the turbo, heating more than 800-1000Lm.

I built an Anduril driver with an ATTiny85 MCU and FET+1 set up, used a 17mm driver board from Wight, the A17Hybrid-S, and adapted it up to the 21mm opening.

Just got an update from Amazon US…it says it will be here Thurday…YAY

:+1:

Being budget-minded, instead of purchasing a 3rd 21700 cell, I will use the 18650 I already have.

Yep, I’m glad I found this, I thought WTF is going on? :person_facepalming: The driver is a POS! The lumin output in all modes creeps up and the higher modes even more slowly, as do the amp readings. Took forever to get the highest amp/lumin readings? Best I got was 2440lm. at Turbo and 6.43amps, using a 30T with an 8awg jumper wire, not the cap. With the cap it was like 2100-2200lm.

But I bought it to tear it apart… so meh…Truly love the build quality, it is outstanding! :+1:

I got mine also…when u hit Turbo…it creeps up to turbo like the post above…im unsure the lumen measument.

Mine with the stock Sofirn battery made 3100 lumens. I also noticed that it is creeping up. And mine draws 8,5A
I ope Sofirn take a look at the drivers. I told them there are some issues.

Hmmmm…how do u check the amps?

Another light but you get the idea.

Thanks…but doesnt help me…no offence…but not good at this…lop…i just have mine set at Voltage…

Show a pic of your multimeter and I will tell how to set it and use very short leads.

Im insure how…never uploaded photo on here. Keeps asking for URL

Open an account at Imgur and post your pics there and link them

What did you get for IR on the Sofirn supplied battery Zozz?

Do you have a clamp meter?

I need to check but if I remember correct it was around 40 mOhms

This one. Imgur: The magic of the Internet

turn the switch to the 10A position. 180° from this. And plug the red wire to the empty hole next to 10A position. Put the red probe to tube edge and the black to battery and then turn the flashlight into turbo and read the numbers.
BTW with long wires you will reading low numbers because at over 4-5A the wires act as a resistance in the circuit. So the best way to measure high power flashlights is a clamp meter.

Ok thanks…i prob wont do it then.
