-No light wont work with Micro USB without batteries it does with batteries installed.
-Micro USB is for charging the 18650 batteries only
-The 4 AA NiMH are not charged with Micro USB
-USB port is supply for power bank output
-UI starts in hi, low then strobe
-I was using some batteries from a laptop pull that measure 65.MM and they fit really loose.
I like the light and I am going to try and find one without the strobe function.
Oh my, he seemed to be around less frequently. But 3 months is more than just being busy.. I sure hope he has just been pulled away by a new interest. Man, I hope he is doing ok.
I got the last 2 at the Papillion, NE store and the sales lady didn’t want to sell them to me for 1 cent. Luckily the duty manager didn’t care. I didn’t know they were a penny when I went to pay for them, else I would have done self-checkout.
I saw these on the clearance rack:
I found these at the clearance rack of more than 1 store, they have been there for a while.
BTW - there’s a Milwaukee impact in the clearance listed for $210.00, is that the lowest it’s gonna go?
A three-pack of defiant 80-lumen headlamps is on sale at Home Depot for $9.97. Check this post for the link and a short review. Somehow we now have two Home Depot threads - one is just for flashlights.
I looked to see if I had his address since he had sent me a light . I was surprised that I couldn’t find his address since I consider him a true friend here on the forum.
If anyone has it You can pm me and I’ll drop him a note in the mail.
In my mind he’s either “ lost his mind n muttering ‘penny penny penny ‘ at a home depot “ ... ‘“ too busy to be posting on BLF” or died in his garage pinned to the wall when 4 pallets of Ryobi drills toppled over and now he’s in heaven watching over all the home depots he loved so dearly .
Clearly a truly great BLF member who is missed no matter the circumstances.
Decent flashlights for the price. Throwy beam pattern. A bit of green tint on the outside of the hot spot. Good light output, but they eat through batteries really fast. You’re looking at 20-25 min run time on max, using high capacity NiMH cells. Wish there was an easy way to convert them to Li-Ion.
Picked up a Dewalt Headlamp yesterday for $17.98 CAD at Homedepot Canada. Looks like neutral white compared to my dollorama headlamp but when compared to one of my 5000k XPL-hi nw flashlights the dewalt is an ugly green.
